The president and first lady hosted a Hanukkah reception in the Grand Foyer of the White House on Thursday evening. The Obamas were joined by Rabbi Larry Bazer to light the 90-year-old menorah, which hails from a temple in Long Island, New York that was heavily flooded during Hurricane Sandy. For the occasion, Mrs. O wore a Jason Wu dress, debuted last year for a holiday event, here. An Alexis Bittar Teatro Modern pin at the collar completed the look.
As has become an annual tradition, Mrs. O pitched in to help Toys for Tots today. The first lady was escorted by Staff Sargent Joel Vazquez during her visit to the Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, where she delivered toys and gifts to the Marine Corps' Toys for Tots campaign. For the occasion, Mrs. O paired an orange cowl neck sweater with slim black pants. Hoop earrings completed the casual look.
The first lady celebrated at the "Christmas in Washington" concert this past Sunday wearing a blush Byron Lars frock (previously seen in 2010, here) paired with a House of Lavande vintage jeweled belt. Mrs. O is putting a fresh spin on her holiday hues this year!
The "Christmas in Washington" special, also starring Diana Ross and Chris Mann, will air Friday, December 21 at 8/7C on TNT.
