A Pretty Pin For You

Dear Readers,
It's hard to believe this little blog began in September 2008! The first lady and her dynamic, ever-evolving style continue to draw us here in celebration and admiration, even two years later. On a personal note, I want to thank each of you for your ongoing support and contribution to this blog. Your comments and insight make it what it is. (Case in point: without reader "marky mark," the internet wouldn't be buzzing about Mrs. O's latest Marc Jacobs frock!)
In honor of the holidays, and to say thank you, I am giving away a vintage Hattie Carnegie silk brush pin, similar in style to one that the First Lady often wears. Pictured above, this vivid green gem is 4 1/2" inches in diameter ... an accessory for the bold! It is in stellar vintage condition, save for a slight faded spot on the enamel center button. You can see Mrs. O wearing her orange Hattie Carnegie pin here or here.
For your chance to add this Mrs.O-inspired pin to your jewelry box, please add a comment to this post. I will select the winner via random.org on December 24 at 9pm EST. Please check back then.
Happy Holidays and THANK YOU! xoxo Mrs T
Update: Congratulations to Megan B. who posted comment #163. You are the winner, picked via random.org. I will email you shortly! Merry Christmas to all!

That pin is tres chic and I would love the opportunity to don it on my own fab frock!
I have followed the fashion of Mrs. O (the woman and the blog) since the primaries and I would love to win this pin. I fell in love with the Orange one that Mrs. O wears.
I love your blog on my favorite first lady, Mrs. O. She is such an icon. I check on your blog daily to see what our First Lady wears. I wish I could afford to buy many of her clothes! And all of her accessories are exquisite. I would be delighted if I win the Hattie Carnegie pin.
Keep the pictures of our First Lady coming!
Lovely idea!! I always enjoy the posts! Looking forward to many more (:

Three reasons to smile: This blog, the First Lady, and Hattie Carnegie pins!
Adore the pin! And love following Mrs. O's fashion here. Ordered a Christmas blouse you posted last year and it has become my go-to holiday piece.
Ooooohhh I like and I want.
I have loved your blog from the beginning. Mrs. O is such a cool idea (for a blog) and she is a beautiful person in every way. Did you have to get her permission to do the blog? Anyway the pin is amazing and would brighten my holiday outfit. Thanks for the giveaway!!
How beautiful. I work for the Peace Corps in Uganda and check your website every morning. I feel uplifted by Mrs. O's style and your blog. Thanks for making my day.
This pin would make a lovely Mother's day gift for my mom!
All that I can say is the first lady is FAB! Loved her in 2007 and love her even more now! Her style is truely classic! She made classic pieces staple items again!
I love this blog and Mrs. O. She has definitely challenged me to be bolder in my accessories and clothing style. Can't wait to see what Mrs. O and this blog will bring in the new year. Happy Holidays!!

I love the pin with Mrs O's Talbots cotton dress - her style is always impressive. I would be thrilled to wear a similar pin!
Congratulations on more than two years of fun and informative posts about our First Lady (of fashion)!
Love the pin, love your blog!
Thank you so much for all your hard work bringing Mrs. O's style to us every day. She inspires me! When so many Americans go schlepping around in sweats, etc., it is wonderful to have a blog about TRYING to look your best everyday. It IS important.
Merry Christmas Mrs. T and everyone who follows the fabulous Mrs. O.!
Thank you for highlighting the first lady. She is wonderful.
"O" Christmas Tree, "O" Christmas Tree....as lovely as Micheleeeeeee!
Wow, that pins looks like it would really be useful for dusting my knick-knacks!
Whee! I never win anything so I'm just posting here to say Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and best wishes of the season to everyone!
To be honest this is my first time viewing your blog of Mrs. O. Like many other viewers mentioned, she is such a high Icon/role model for the young and old. This showy flower pin that you’re giving away is circa 1960, and it looks exquisite. Whoever receives this adequate piece of jewelry would be truly honored. I know that I would be, and treasure this for years to come. Thank you!
Love this blog, love my Mrs O book, and love Mrs T!!!
So pretty! Happy Holidays everyone!
This pin is divine. Just like this blog and Michelle Obama.
Keeping us updated on what the 1st Lady is wearing is wonderful, get ideas on what to wear and how to pair different pieces in my wardrobe, would love to add this wonderful piece to my jewelry box! Can just see this on a bright yellow twin set with a green, orange and yellow print skirt, great for spring!
I love this column. I watch for it on Twitter everyday!
I really enjoy following your blog. Also, would love to win this pin

I find I'm regularly drawn to your blog as a way to keep up with my favorite Chicago gal Michelle. How refreshing to have such an elegant and stylish First Lady. It would be an honor to wear the Hattie Carnegie pin like hers.

Happy Holidays, Mrs. T and all Mrs. O fans! I love the FLOTUS, and it would be a dream to become half of the amazing lady that she is! :)
I love this Blog, it is a bookmark and I go there everyday,,I get a lot of inspiration from the blog and she has been my profile picture on facebook since 2008..I just LOVE her - She came to San Jose once during the campaign and I drove from Concord CA to see her in San Jose while I was sick but it was so worth it,,(If anyone knows Cali. it is a long drive..
Thanks. I would love to win the pin, Since FLOTUS started wearing pins I now have a small collection of Pins..A butterfly with green inlay, dragon fly both made in Israel and a purple flower pin from Talbots that I am sure was made in China, But I loved it and I could see the FLOTUS wearing something like it..
I love this blog and hope it continues, If help is needed to maintain I am willing and able..
Thanks again,
Melanie
