(1) Mrs. O appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman.

Ann Romney's outfit looks alot like Michelle Obama's style. Yes, i said it. I think Michelle Obama has become a trendsetter for many political wives. From sleeveless sheath to cropped sweaters, Michelle Obama has definitely set a high standard. Love Her! OBAMA 2012!
I agree. It is nice to once again see looking fashionable is important. Can't wait to here Michelle speak at the convention.
@Christal B, I think so, too, and Mrs. Ryan's look also borrows much from our Mrs. O. Who would have thought of wearing off-the-rack dresses for a high-profile political event before? In any case, Michelle is still the best! Can't wait to see what she wears tomorrow.
I wonder what color our lovely Mrs. O will wear? I am thinking red or something blueish.
Mrs. Romney is conservative and appropriate...she looked lovely at the convention, but I doubt she would be any kind of trendsetter. The Michelle Obamas of the world do not come along every day. She has a very keen sense of personal style that you either have or you don't have. No matter what happens, I will be watching the Obamas for many years to come, but I do hope and pray that we get four more years of fabulous White House dinners and events and date nights with the Obamas!
I just don't buy the idea that Mrs. Romney is borrowing fashion looks from Mrs. Obama! Ann Romney appears to have her own sense of classy style going back to her days of being the First Lady of Massachusetts - long before we even knew who Michelle Obama was.
I don't know who the "long before 'we' even knew who Michelle Obama was" crowd is, but it certainly doesn't include me. I "knew" of the Obamas long before February 2007, when then U.S. Senator Obama announced his candidancy for President of the USA. I knew of them since before he took his brutal beating during his first run for political office in Illinois. Mrs. Obama has had her own sense of style since before the start of her professional career as an attorney. Ann Romney (like many others) is "borrowing" the fashion looks from Mrs. Obama, as they are the styles that Mrs. Obama set into place when she wears them. Hint: Mrs. O has caused quite a "financial-bump" in the fashion industry since becoming First Lady; ". . .the U.S. First Lady has boosted the economic value of the brands she chooses to wear by $2.7 billion. . ."
First of all - I like Mrs. Obama's style (for the most part) AND Mrs. Romney's style (for the most part). Again, all I'm saying is that I do not agree that Mrs. Romney borrowed her fashion look from the First Lady - 2 different women - 2 different fashion statements! Surely, both women established their clothing styles & fashion sense long before either was on the national scene. I thought both Mrs. Romney and Mrs. Obama looked wonderful during their convention speeches for their husbands.
