Monochromatic Mix

Landing in Pretoria, South Africa on Friday evening, Mrs. O wore a mix of blues and purples, pairing a long coat with trousers and a blouse. A double strand of long pearls completed the look.

On Saturday morning, President and First Lady Obama met with South African President Jacob Zuma and his wife Thobeka Madiba-Zuma at Union Building in Pretoria, South Africa. For the event, Mrs. O paired pale pink pants with a coordinating top and cream blazer. 

Summer Sunshine

The President and First Lady departed Senegal for South Africa earlier today. Boarding Air Force One, Mrs. O wore a yellow and black floral dress paired with a cropped black cardigan and multiple strands of pearls.

A Familiar Gown with a New Twist

The President and First Lady attended an official dinner at the Presidential Palace in Dakar, Senegal on Thursday evening. For the event, Mrs. O wore a Naeem Khan paisley print organza ballgown, previously seen at the White House Correspondents' Dinner in 2012, here. Of note are the cap sleeves, added for the occasion.

On Goree Island

President and First Lady Obama stood together at the 'Door of No Return,' at the slave house on Goree Island, in Dakar, Senegal today. 

For the tour of Goree Island, Mrs. O wore slim camel pants and a printed blouse by Zero + Maria Cornejo from the designer's Pre-Fall 2013 collection. Gold flats completed the look.

Mrs. O in Floral Jason Wu

President and First Lady Obama met with Senegal's President Macky Sall and First Lady Marieme Faye Sall at the Presidential Palace in Dakar, Senegal today.

For the ceremony, Mrs. O wore a Jason Wu custom white devore floral print chiffon dress. Bottle green pumps completed the look.
