Careers in Film

The First Lady hosted a Careers in Film Symposium at the White House on Friday for high school students interested in careers in the film industry. Mrs. O was joined by writer-director Ryan Cooger, film producer and executive Harvey Weinstein, Academy Award winning actress Whoopi Goldberg, actress Blake Lively and actress Naomie Harris. For the event, Mrs. O wore a smart black and whtie ensemble, pairing a collarless white shirt paired with pinstripe pants. (The pants may be from this Alexander McQueen pant suit.)

I believe you're correct about the pants Mrs. T; I've always loved that Alexander McQueen pantsuit!
You can never go wrong wearing black and white!
Loved the detail on the blouse. It's a shame you can't see more of it in the photo.
Smart. Classic. Modern. Pretty. I like very much.
Mrs. O advocated for college education today at a DC high school. There are many great photos on Obama Diary. Mrs. O repeated a mixed print wrap dress http://mrs-o.com/newdata/2012/10/9/on-the-campaign-trail.html Mrs. T, did you ever discover the designer?
Sorry for the many posts, but the dress from today was identified as Etro in this post from earlier this year: http://mrs-o.com/newdata/2013/3/10/women-of-courage.html (So glad those bangs have grown out.)
I really admire the first lady’s unique unusual choice of fashion to complement the different events – whether it’s kids or young adults or special cultural events with people from all walks of life – good investment pieces that are timeless, great for repeats as well. Black and white huge this fall and of course great to mix and match or layering and are among the best wardrobe essentials.
Naomie - you lucky so and so.
There's our fantastic First Lady!!! Looking gorg while helping our young ones stay on the right path to self-reliance and success!!!
Rock on Mrs Obama, rock on great First Lady!!!
As our First Lady, "she's so fine", "I'm glad she's mine."
At first, it seemed sort of a novelty to have our First Married Couple so full of life, vimming with vigor (and vinegar), representative and advocating for the lives of our common uncommon citizens, but into the second term, I can only hope that our next era of public servants and representatives of the U.S.A. spear-headed by this couple can even serve to emulate as much enthusiasm for our country as these two. We've had mighty fine leadership in the past, but these two and their family say the best about us as a nation and as a people.
By the way, the togs are spiffy, and yet only support the idea of our First Family 'style', 'grace', 'graciousness', and the best of the U.S.
