The First Lady traveled to Gainesville, Florida for campaign events today, visiting Girls Place, an after school program, as part of her stop. For the visit, Mrs. O wore a blue print dress belted at the waist.
Update (9/19): Above, Mrs. O wears a dress by Barbara Tfank as reported by WWD this morning. The rolled-neck dress was made from Bianchini-Ferier silk twill in a mosaic tile motif. The designer is a collector of Bianchini-Ferier fabrics and bought the mosaic print at an auction.
Mrs. O also appeared on a pre-taped episode of Rachael Ray this morning. For the appearance, the first lady wore a Tracy Reese peasant blouse in black and ecru paired with orange trousers.

I adore both of these outfits.The dress is beautiful. I wonder if this is Jason Wu? The Rachel Ray outfit is very chic and as always I love that belt. Once again FLOTUS looks fabulous!
I'd really like to know more about the blue dress. It reminds me of the ASOS dress she wore during her visit to the UK.

The sapphire blue and turquoise dress is stunning on Mrs. Obama - both the colour and the neckline are very flattering...and don't you love that one little girl in the front row - arms draped around her friends even as she gazes wonderingly at Mrs. Obama, instead of into the camera.

The blue dress is beautiful and the other combination is intereting.......Anyone notice how Michelle glows when she is among children? Very heart warming faces and poses in that picture......made my day.
Fascinating update about the fabric, Mrs. T. Barbara Tfank was smart to keep the dress simple (and Mrs. O was smart to keep the accessories minimal) to show off the dazzling colors and mosaic pattern. I looked up the story on WWD and learned that the designer was Raoul Dufy, better known (at least to me) for his painting -- that explains the brilliant blues. Wow -- hope we see this one again and again!
That blue dress is lovely. I also like the outfit worn in the Rache Ray episode.

I sure regret not seeing FLOTUS today on Racheal Ray show today, maybe I'll be able to see clips online. Anyway she looks nice in the Tracy Reese blouse. Onto the blue dress......what a delightful print!
