Where is Mrs. O?

I've gathered, from your emails and comments, that many are eager for a new Mrs. O appearance. Indeed, the first lady's public schedule has been rather light the past two weeks, following a blitz of travel and media to support the first anniversary of "Lets Move".
Last Tuesday, February 15, Mrs. O attended the Medal of Freedom ceremony at the White House, though no photos featuring the first lady were released. You can catch a peek of Mrs. O wearing a fabulous emerald green frock and jacket in the last few seconds of the video above. This past weekend, Mrs. O traveled to Vail, Colorado for a private ski weekend with her daughters. And otherwise, things have been quiet!

I'm going through Mrs.O withdrawal. I check the sites every day. But no Mrs.O.
:(
I hope we get to see her soon. I know Motown is supposed to be showcased tomorrow at the White House. It's supposed to air on PBS on March 1st. Maybe we will see her sitting in the front row with the family. Maybe a video clip will be available before the March 1st airing.
Maybe she's upset after all of the horrible, unjustified things Rush Limbaugh and Andrew Brietbart said about her. I'd stay out of the limelight too.
The live stream for "The Motown Sound In Performance at the White House" should be available at whitehouse.gov tomorrow evening, 2/24 at 7pm EST
Here's a pic of Michelle at the Medal of Freedom ceremony:

Vail. Not dressed for skiing. Perhaps a gondola sightseeing trip?

I visit theobamadiary.com at least once a day. I saw those pics and the video. It just seemed like it had been so long ago (more than a week) since I've seen new pictures of Mrs.O.
BUT...I just found something new at obama foodorama...and the pics include TBG!!! [Disregard the EXTREMELY rude criticism by Rush Limbaugh. :( ]

I'm looking forward to Motown night. I'll have to catch it on PBS. I'm going to see Lady Gaga tonight. :)

I mean, how cute are they - seriously ? I don't know who the man is, but Mr & Mrs Obama are both brushing him down in readiness for the camera's. This couple right here....they are not just love....they represent love. They are so real, they so care. I'm not American but I am so proud of the fact that Americans put these remarkable people in the White House to represent the country, regardless of what the naysayers may say, it was the right decision.
I am glad for this positive forum on things Mrs. O. I read an aweful article about Rush L.'s aweful comments about Mrs. O.
Here are a couple pictures of the family in Vail

@Jestina. The man is Warren Buffett who is the 2nd richest man in America after Bill Gates. He is famous for his thrift, cheap suits and frayed ties. The President quipped during the presentation that the last time he visited the White House he had to offer him a White House tie.

Take some time to listen to these great Americans (mostly).

Well, I'm off on another trip but no matter where I am in the world, I always check in to see what Mrs. O is doing or wearing or eating. Did I understand correctly that the restaurant that served her those ribs supports and serves veggies from the local school gardens? This lady is encouraging me to eat in a balanced way. We all understood that we should but she just drives it home. At least, Huckabee gets it!
On the fashion front, I think she should wear at least one Oscar DLR when meeting the Queen. Don't you? Take care
Looking forward to seeing Mrs. O this afternoon (1:30 Eastern) and then again tonight (7:00 Eastern) at the Motown events at the White House. It's been too long!

One of the unfortunate aspects of freedom of speech is that a society has to tolerate a good number of people who do not know what they are talking about but are all too eager to have their say. That said, it is preferable to stifling what people have to say. Sifting through the nonsense and misinformation and outright falsification is time consuming, requires correct information and thoughtful consideration.
How heartening to see Mike Huckabee speak in favour of Michelle Obama, and the Chef who cooked the ribs speak out. Thanks to those of you who post the links and sharing with the rest of us. Well done.
@ Ann_T,
I know how you feel! I need my "Obama 'fix'" as well!

Trust me, Mrs. Obama and neither does anyone else in her fine family worries nor cares about those two people you took care to mention.
I can't wait until the Motown show either
@ "Cat"
Im sure FLOTUS isn't thinking about those two racist pigs
Yay, she is back to her sheath dresses, this dress reminds me of something Ikram would show her as an option to wear.

The First Lady deserves a break. Well deserved!
Mrs T, there are some pictures at whitehouse.gov in the photo gallery section of the Let's Move anniversary. Mrs O chilling on Brightstar.

OT: .Diane Von Furstenberg 'Embarrassed' After Criticizing Michelle Obama's McQueen Dress
Fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg says she is "embarrassed" after criticizing Michelle Obama for wearing Alexander McQueen to a State Dinner, rather than a dress by an American label.
"I said that Mrs Obama has been extremely supportive of American designers, but clearly we were disappointed that she chose to wear a British designer for the state dinner," she told Tina Brown at a Daily Beast-sponsored breakfast last week. "From there, I was so embarrassed that I am definitely going to write to her. She has been super-supportive to American designers."
Asked why Obama might have chosen a dress by a foreign designer, Von Furstenberg replied: “I don’t know. Maybe she liked the color! I’m sure she had options like all of us. Or she asked [President Obama], "Which one do you like?"'

I can't help but feel hurt that Mrs. Obama has to listen to such inane things said about her, and about her appearance. It's wrong on a level that I can't even articulate, I feel pain. I dunno. I know I shouldn't let it get to me, and hopefully her two girls hug her every night and she knows how little it matters, but it's still just saddening.
