Mayor's Summit on Food Deserts

Today was another full day for the First Lady. Mrs. O started her Tuesday with a DNC Event in Detroit. Then it was on to Chicago, where the First Lady attended Mayor Emmanuel's Summit on Food Deserts, which included stops at a Walgreens on the South Side and the Iron Street Urban Farm (shown above). Finally, the day wrapped up with a Chicago fundraiser.
For public events mid-day, the First Lady wore a striped sweater, featuring an asymmetric neckline and bow, paired with black trousers.

That sweater is everything to me right now. Loves it. I'm currently looking for sweaters for the seasonal change and this sweater brought me out of lurk mode.

I love that top. I am not one to like striped tops (I think they make you look wider, so I have none) but this is something I would buy. I love the bow!!! Very feminine. I saw some full length pics on the daily mail and the whole outfit makes her look great. It is certainly a flattering outfit on Mrs. O. If you guys can check the page, it also show her in a playful manner. You just have to love our first lady.

The sweater is so cute! I hope you can post where and what name it is. It would be great if it was from Macy's or some store like that for 40 or 50 bucks. Yes, I know that is wishful thinking. I am loving that sweater.

@ Jestina, they are still available at Nordstroms and Revolveclothing.com. The only color available is the graphite/black stripe. Hope this helps!

In typical "fashion", when Mrs O wears something it sells out. Sweater is sold out on Nordstrom, Niemans and Revolve Clothing.

Gosh...I had my credit card READY to buy this sweater. It is so stylish, but appropriate for the somewhat conservative and corporate environment I work in. Darn!

Wow Nyon! That site is amazing! She does look great in this suit, just as Jo described it to me. Where did you run across this? No matter, I've just saved it in my favorite list. It looks like my friend in the background wearring the burgundy suit. I've got to call and ask her if that's indeed her, she'll be thrilled either way.

I looked back in the archives on this site and I do believe that the suit is a Sonya Rykiel that FLOTUS wore a couple of times before. Go back to the post dated Oct 28, 2008 ( I started backwards and worked up) and you will see this suit under "Perfectly Suited". It seems that the buttons were updated to tortoise shell ones.
