World Record O

Photos by Mark Wilson / Getty Images
The First Lady was joined by 400 schoolchildren on the South Lawn of the White House today to kick off an attempt to break the world record for the most people doing jumping jacks in a 24-hour period. This is the latest installment in the First Lady's "Let's Move" initiative. Looks like Mrs. O is having fun!

Looks fun, indeed! And there's another state dinner tonight, can't wait to see what Mrs. O wears!
Wow! Can we all feel the energy in these photos. First Lady you are amazing! On the fashion front I like the color palette she is wearing - an eggplant combo. Lets Move!
I've never witnessed a First Lady who is more with it, active, always out there with the kids....love to see her gardening, being active, mentoring kids in schools and of course all she does for the military families. So wonderful!
Nice effort by our First Lady to keep Americans healthy and fit.
She looks appropriately dressed for the event.
I'm still not a big fan of her hair pinned ... but she wins with that smile !!
I watched this event live-stream; I wished I was there!
Thank you Mrs. T! These pics are simply adorable.
Peace.
That is EXHAUSTING! More power to her 'cause I couldn't do it!
Mrs O, is not only inspring everyone in the USA, but we in Jamaica too. Good Going Michele O.
These photos say it all. Mrs. O, You Rock!!
And she is effective. Just saw new statistics that show that for the first time in a good many years, the percent of normal weight people outweighs the number of overweight people in the US.
She doesn't do this alone, of course, but through partnerships such as this one, she engages with others, some of whom have long labored in this area, and together they push effective programs.
Emphasis on children is important on two fronts. One to help them develop good habits that could last for a lifetime. And enthusiastic children can influence family choices.
Her effectiveness is why Republican circles try to belittle what she does.
As a physician who over the years has seen so many overweight kids, this is such a great initiative, Many of us are old enough to remember when physical education was so important in schools and we all have memories of the PR teacher. This initiative is so important and Mrs O will long be remembered for pictures like this. The joy of bringing children to the White House. Just think how this event will change their lives. I am envious that I am not there. What energy and hope this inspires.
I'm with Alisa on this one. *high-five!* Mrs. Obama is darn incredible! (And my parents' home training necessitates that I use "darn" instead of the "spicy" colloquial term that I'd use if I were speaking with close friends. :-) ...And I love the pinned-up hair...Sexy! (I'd love to see it pinned-up even higher--a la' Bardot.)
P.S. I'm not so sure UN-pinned hair would work well for doing jumping jacks. In all my years of cardio classes, I don't think I ever seen one woman jump up-and-down with cascaded hair.
Look at our Michelle.....she never stops inspiring & motivating us!
Well said Sharon Nelson. I agree with all your points and couldn't say it better.
Point of Interest - World renowned Golfer, Gary Player, has some kind words to say about Mrs. Obama and her “Lets Move” initiative.
