An Afternoon Stroll Through Ronda

Image by Jorge Guerrero / Getty Images
Mrs. O is touring the southern Spanish town of Ronda today, located 20 miles northwest of Marbella. For the visit, Mrs. O paired a loose fitting black top, featuring an inset striped panel, with long khaki shorts, open toe flats, and a wrist full of beaded bracelets to tie the color palette together.
Per Wikipedia, both Ernest Hemingway and Orson Welles spent time in Ronda as part-time summer residents, writing about the town's beauty and bull-fighting.

I love their outfits they look like they are having a fabulous time. Looks like I am going to have to add some new stuff to my wardrobe and I just love Sasha's jumper. I think they are inb this season I have seen a lot of people wear them including some adults.
MRS OBAMA LOOKED CUTE WITH HER SHOES ON LATER THAT DAY SHE WEAR SNEACKERS. SASHA IS CUTE.
FLOTUS will attend a gala with Eva Longoria and Antonio Banderas tonight in Spain. I hope that there will be pictures released of the event.
Also, did FLOTUS and Sasha already meet the Spainish Royals? If not, does anybody know when the meeting will occur, and if it will be "private(no pictures released)" like when the girls and FLOTUS met Queen Elizabeth last year?
Also, Eva Longoria personally invited FLOTUS to the charity event tonight in Spain according to a UK newspaper.
The WH is denying that she will attent the Longoria charity event this evening. Probably a good idea as the guest list includes Adnan Khashoggi. Look him up. Not a good person for our first lady to be hobnobbing with.
She will have lunch with the Spanish royals tomorrow in their summer home on Mallorca.
On to fashion - I think she looks gorgeous and appropriate as usual. I love her flats. She changed into sneakers, probably because of all the walking on what looks like dirt and stone. I have to chuckle a bit, this is the first times I think I've ever felt Mrs. O is wearing something my mom would wear - my mom is not fashionable so that's a strange thought. LOL.
Not loving the top - wishing it was more fitted, Like the color palette, though, and the sandals look cute. Haven't we seen them before?

Ladies, did you know Naeem Khan has a small line available on HSN? Adorable and affordable!
Forgot to mention: I like what MO's wearing. And that Sasha kid is just way too cute. Hey Sash, can I borrow those Nike's when you get back? :)
Hope at least one pic is released from the gala and meeting with the Royals.
When you print family photos, could you sometimes give some info about the girls' clothes too? Many of your readers have daughters and nieces to shop for.
@Audrey - Amen! You said nothing but the truth--we have officially entered the "silly season" of the 2010 midterm elections.
But I digress from politics to the fashion, here's a link to the video of Mrs. O and Sasha meeting the King and Queen of Spain and the Princess. Mrs. O and Princess Letizia looked beautiful, but boy does Sasha steal the show with her ensemble--what a cutie!

P.S. Somebody please tell me what the reporter is saying....I wish I could speak spanish so bad...arggh!
Clearly the first lady's trip to Spain has become quite politically charged in the past few days. Many of you have written thoughtful, comprehensive comments sharing various personal perspectives. However, on this blog, I really want to keep the discussion focused on Mrs. O's fashion. To get things back on track, I've deleted comments that were not related to the first lady's fashion. I'm afraid if we go down the rabbit hole of politics, there will be no coming back. Please let's keep the comments fashion-centered; if you wish to talk politics, please do so in the discussion boards or on another blog. Thanks for understanding!
Thank you Mrs. T. We have enough vitriol and politics clogging our media if that is what people want to hear. I salute you for wanting to keep this site simple - fasion and accesories of the FLOTUS plus, incidentally, a good idea of the many ways Mrs. O is contributing her time and energy for the benefit of our country.
This is a nice strolling outfit for our Michelle and Sasha. I like how she tied the colors together with those stacking stretch bracelets. They seem to be all the rage this year and they add an extra textural element to any outfit. Very nice! And just think, we thought we wouldn't be getting any FLOTUS fashions while she was away in Spain......WRONG! It's been downright delightful! I bet we're all happy, heck, I know that I am!
Thank you, Mrs. T., for reminding us all that this blog ia about Mrs. O's fashions and the activities she indulges in while wearing these fashions. Those who want to indulge in the sniping and vitriol that constitutes politics these days, well, there's always Fox News and the like. It doesn't belong here. But mind you, Mrs. T., in the ensuing months you'll have to be even more vigilant to ensure that none of that political pollution does not wind it's way onto this site.
Now on to fashion, I love those walking shorts of FLOTUS, she looks so relaxed and at-ease in them. Now, Miss Sasha, I agree with everyone, she stole the show. If you notice in all the photus, Mrs. O. is just beaming, rightly so!
I am in love with Mrs. O.'s striped black top...so fabulous! Does anyone know who designed this top and where it is available?
Got the walking shorts and similar flats, just need the striped top. Who is the designer? It looks stylish and comfy...I love it!
Nice, beautiful toning neutrals, love that. Very nice shoes, in particular.
