Easter Glee

AP Photo/Charles Dharapak
The first family hosted the annual White House Easter Egg Roll today, which also included performances by Sara Bareilles, Justin Bieber and the cast of the hit TV show "Glee." (Mrs. O can be seen enjoying a "Glee" performance in the first photo above.)
Per the Washington Post, the first lady kicked off the festivities with a few remarks:
"Today we have transformed the South Lawn into a playground. We're going to have 30,000 people in our back yard today, and we want every single one of you to have fun."
Mrs. O was projecting "fun" through her ensemble as well, wearing a floral print pink shirt paired with a fluorescent pink cardigan, white pants and silver sneakers.

I want that blouse!!
I JUST LOVE THE FIRST FAMILY. I LOVE HOW MAILA AND THE FLOTUS HAVE FUN TOGETHER.
I LOVE WHEN THE POTUS SAID THE OLDER BEAUTIFUL OBAM GIRL (FLOTUS) WHEN HE INTRODUCED HER. THE ALL LOOKED BEAUTIFUL TODAY.
Cute!!
Is it me or is she wearing a silver ring?
Malia is such a mix of her parents. Long, elegant fingers like mom, but dad's face, and both parents' height. Everyone looks lovely, and most importantly they look like they had fun.
So lovely as always! But wait a minute; I'm missing Sasha in these pictures guys. I'm pretty sure she was around having fun as well. I so admire and respect this super special though down- to-earth First Family. What a great example to emulate this First Family is for the rest of the world.
What a sensational picture of love and happiness. The whole family look beautifully co-ordinated in shades of pink, white and grey. Michelle looks radiant and Malia is the spitting image of her father. I've been watching the events on Live Stream and I'm not ashamed to say how jealous I am of America for having a truly amazing family. I could spend all day grinning and chesing at pictures and video's of the Obama's.
I love the way Mrs Robinson always keeps a little distance between herself and the first couple. Only a true lady would do that so I guess we all know where Michelle got her training from.
BTW, I loved Sara Barailles performance.
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Perfect outfit for Cherry Blossom season in Washington.
Oh I LOVE this. Mrs. O looks stunning....the white and pink for Easter is just perfect on such a glorious day. They are such a beautiful family and I love that Mrs. Robinson is color coordinated as well. And the POTUS looked great on the pitching mound this morning too. I loved what Mrs. O said before the festivities....their family is just a wonderful example of good health, activity and being together and enjoying one another. Bless them!
And PS, Malia is just growing into a beautiful young woman before our eyes
Michelle looks great...I love the sweater and rose colored look...
God, in His Mercy, blessed them with a warm and beautiful day. This was a great day for the children to enjoy all aspects of this event. I hope that all had fun.
Mrs. Obama looked wonderful. I love your choice of pictures for this article: one showing mother and daughter having fun together, and the other showing three generations of females in this family - Mrs. Robinson, Malia and Mrs. Obama.
C'est parfait!
Hey, just looked at the pictures again and saw that Malia wasn't in the second picture. I guess that, mentally, I merged the pictures together. Sorry about that. However, between the two pictures, we do see three generations of females in the Obama family.
The first pic is cute and fun! That's a very good profile of Michelle.
Love the pics of the family. It was a beautiful day in the area today, perfect for the Easter Egg Roll ... though I'd also love to see them at the National Zoo on Easter as well .. but I guess they can't be in 2 places at once.
I love how she always projects casual yet put together fun through her wardrobe at the Easter Egg Roll's. I've seen some photo's of the past few first ladies (Hillary,Laura, Barbra and Nancy) wearing full on suits to these events. It's really cool to see her dancing with her girls and getting down on one knee to pose with the kids (like she did last year) which would have looked silly in a skirt suit.
This new family and administration is definitely giving off a new and fresh vibe for America. I love it. I may be reading too much into it but I feel like sometimes Mrs.O's wardrobe is a reflection of that, with today's choice of laid back fun being an example.
They all look great! Malia looks so tall! I hope they all had a wonderful time. Happy Easter everyone!
If you want to see something precious, take a look at Yahoo pics. You'll see a picture of Malia hugging her mom as well as some really delightful pictures of our First Family with our First Granny. Flotus sure looks sweet here and the whole family is just adorable. Also, the kids at The Easter Egg Roll looked like they were having a ball. It seems like fun, so refreshing!
Oh, by the way, check out the pictures on Gettyimages....cute enough!
THIS IS ONE BEAUTIFUL FAMILY. I JUST LOVE MICHELLE OBAMA. HER WARDROBE HAS VARIETY OF STYLES AND COLOR. I'M ACCUSED OF TRYING TO DRESS LIKE FLOTUS. I LOVE IT A LOT. LOVE THE OBAMA'S!!!!!!!
I'm assuming the cardigan and blouse are both long sleeved and she pushes the sweater sleeves up over her elbows and then folds up the blouse neatly over the top (?) It's a really nifty look, but if I tried it would probably end up bunchy, bulky & awkward. Maybe the key is to make sure both layers are made of thin, sheer fabrics.
Speechless...love it
The whole First Family looked good today. I liked Mrs. O's shirt and cardi. I liked Malia's shirt (you can't see it in this pic but it has a ruffly tail). I liked Sasha's pink shoes. Mr. O looked handsome as usual and Mrs. Robinson looked good too.
I am bummed that I missed the First Family reading, but I did see a couple of the performances and Mrs. O and the girls were getting down in the audience. I love that they are comfortable enough to be themselves even though they know the whole world is watching. Mrs. O has alot of confidence and she is passing that on to her girls.
@Jestina, I really appreciated what you said about Mrs. Robinson, she does indeed stay in the cut. That was a keen observation....never thought about it nor noticed it before.
The First Lady looks great! I love the way that she interacts with her family as well! P.S. the First Mom loooks stunning as well!
They all look great and really seem to enjoy this day. I like MO in hot pink and white. She looks perfect for the days events. The girls are adorable!
The First Family never fails to make me smile! They represent our country in a natural, fresh authentic style that hasn't been seen since the days of JFK and family. Happy Easter indeed!
They all looked good and having fun to bad they don't have Sasha in the pices put I saw her she looked cutie they all wear pink and white but malia wear a dreffient top I like it on her she danced with her mom that great they are very closed.our president is very very proud of his family.god bless them.
What an enchanting and beautiful First Family America has!!! We should all be so proud!!!
I wonder if the blouse and sweater are by Isaac Mizrahi? They seem similar to some of his floral cardigans. Great colors!!
That's a great mother/daughter photo.
Very pretty! Mrs. O. looks great here. Beautiful colors, very spring-like.
@ Bevi,
actually there are 2 great mother/ daughter photos. Malia and Mrs.O obviously enjoying the moment;
and Mrs. Robinson and Mrs. O co-ordinating the color of their outfits .
Mrs.O pink and white floral blouse w/pink cardigan is beautiful.
Michelle looks fantastic in these pants because they fit! I love to see that.

Thanks for your comment, Charlene. I have always observed how classy Mrs Robinson is. Heard the old saying, you reap what you sow ?? Michelle was born to be First Lady and a First Lady with a difference because she had a great teacher who knows exactly how a lady should conduct herself.
Toscanaremi, thanks for the video links. Green Eggs and Ham is one of my all time favourite books and the President read it well but did anyone see the First Granny ? Style, grace and class in bucket loads.
The photo of Malia and her mom could not be more beautiful. It's as if you can reach out and touch the closeness between them, and the power of their love for each other.
The older daughter is getting so tall. Growing up quick.
The entire family looks classy. Does anyone know where Mrs. Obama got her shirt and cardigan?
@jestina
Here's the link of the First Grandma reading to the children yesterday (makes me miss my grandma who's passed on):

Beautiful photo's Mrs T, thank you so much! Mrs O looks completely sweet and gorgeous. Likewise the rest of the family.
Good morning -
Great pictures.
Malia is such a beautiful young lady. The picture of Malia and Michelle is definitely one for the scrapbook.
Michelle looks great in this shade of pink.
It was also good to see Bo getting out and about.
Thanks Toscanaremi and Janelle for the video.
Thanks Janelle.
terrific photos and great ensemble outfit that MO is sporting.
Very appropriate for the occasion
A new equation of contemporary coordinates, a new era of real beauty in every sense of the word. This is her colour. The florescent pink and bright floral colours gives her a beautiful glow. Beautiful family, Malia has grown so tall. Theyr’e blessed and we’re blessed – Lord I thank you for this wonderful moment.
LOVE, LOVE. LOVE a gazillion times over this picture of Mrs. O and Maila.
Like Mrs. O's outfit, great for spring!
All the Obama ladies wore some hot pink. Mrs. O's blouse & cardi (love how she rolled the bloused sleeves up over the cardi rolled sleeves. And, Mrs. Robinson with a pink blouse, Sasha's pink shoes & Malia's pink shoe laces.
Too sweet. I love this event.
(I guess we've now got to call "hot pink" "Schiaparelli pink" if we really wanna be fashionistas!
BTW, Diana Vreeland, former Vogue editor, famously said, "pink is the navy blue of India" when preparing an exhibit at the Costume Institute.)
