The New Power Suit

First Lady Mrs. O hosted a "Let's Move" event at the River Terrace School in Washington, D.C. today, joined by Olympian Shani Davis and several other Olympians and Paralympians. Mrs. O led students in a series of exercises, giving new meaning to the term "power suit." For the event, Mrs. O dressed in a vibrant red pant suit, paired with a pink and red sequined camisole.
Update: Mrs. O wears the Sequined starland tank from J.Crew, available here (thank you canyongal for the find!).

IVA, you watched it live? Otherwise, hook me up with the link, Please! ;-)
Well, well, well, what a day....only one person that didn't like the suit! And the reason had nothing to do with the suit, just an unrelated emotional reaction based on a factor that is over 8 years old. Once again, the majority rules......I loved the suit and Mrs. O looks fabulous in it.
Nyon, the event has wrapped up. but she will be at the reception this evening with the President.it will be streamed live on the white house website.
Yeah, I knew it was earlier. I was asking if she watched it live or did she watch a video. I have been looking for some footage of it, but have not found any. Thanks for tip about the upcoming event.
@ Nyon - I saw it on the cnn livestream at my computer.
I think this is the video:

My Sistahero!!!!!
That's such a hilarious picture! What a great face she's pulling, LOL! I am reminded of last years press dinner and the "right to bare arms" comment that Mr O made. Hehehe.
Love the suit and top. A nice bright red and a chic but sparkling top. Glorious! What fun! Perfect for an event where you need to keep the attention of children AND get the press to cover the Let's Move initiative! Mrs O is one smart cookie.
Thanks to those who answered my question about wearing a necklace or when not to wear one. I like the "rule of thumb" -- if plain then dress it up. That seems to apply really well in this case. The sequined cami negates the need for a neckace. I've been a daily observer of this site from the beginning and I only recently started posting a comment. I love this website and appreciate the insight of the readers -- you guys are a good bunch. (I even get tickled by the bickering sometimes!)
I wouldn't have worn a necklace with this because a sparkly camisole is all the jewellery you need!!!
