A Very Merry White House Christmas

Images by Charles Dharapak / AP Photo, Saul Loeb / Getty Images

The First Family helped to light the National Christmas Tree at the Ellipse across from the White House tonight. Mrs. O wore a Narciso Rodriguez black and gold embroidered coat, first seen earlier this year, here, and paired this evening with a red scarf to keep cozy. Kara Ross NY earrings completed the look.

P.S. How chic is Mrs. Marian Robinson in the last photo? Love!

Wow they all look happy for the holidays! There are some lovely coats being worn by the First Family! I like Mrs. Robinson in particular that color, the cut of the sleeves....Its good to see her, I often wonder how she is doing...she looks FABULOUS, just like her daughter! Thanks for the great photos Mrs. T -

Beautiful coat!!! Mrs. Robinson is quite stylish also, as is the young misses, Sasha and Malia.

What a great-looking turn-of-the-21st-century American family.

Nice and warm but clean lines and no bulk. That's how they do it in Chicago. They know how to look stylish in very cold temperatures! All of them look really chic. And isn't it cute how Sasha and Malia are starting to develop their own style. Just adorable.

I'm quite impressed that she managed to keep it elegant, warm, and festive. I tell you, she deserves a medal of honor for braving a skirt in the biting cold weather in DC this evening. The girls are lovely as well and are quite the stylish young ladies; I especially love the way Malia's scarf adds a pop of color. Altogether, lovely. BTW, did you notice that President and Mrs O match :-)

My bad, maybe she is not wearing a skirt, but just tights to brave the cold; she still looks lovely tonight.

Beautiful First Family! The National Christmas Tree is beautiful also! You all should go to the Obamadiary website to view the clip of the First Lady reading to the children; she skips a page because her gloves are too thick and she plays it off so well; I love MO.

@ Nyon, I feel the same way as I'm hoping to get to see the President and/or First Lady during my White House tour next week! I'm so excited!

They exude joy, love, peace, caring and unity the essence of the Christmas season. What a beautiful First family, an absolutely gorgeous tree, and a wonderful country! I'm so thankful to be an American, the land of the free and the home of the brave. Merry Christmas everyone and God Bless America.

How perfect! They are gorgeous...the tree is beautiful. I love, i mean LOVE, the expression on President Obama's face. It's so innocent.

Agree ann#1, Mrs. Robinson looks delightful. Thought so the minute I saw her photo over on the Obama Diary.

That coat is all sold out. It had come down to $553 from $4,610, and now it's all gone. The Mrs. O effect? :-)

The First Family looks really nice, but look at Our First Granny! Mrs. Robinson stole the show with her stylishness! Now that's what I'm talking about. I'm loving the shades of blue along with those long leather gloves. I've been to Chicago in the winter and this is how they do it there. Layers of style......LOVING THIS!

I love this! They all look so beautiful.

I do miss the days when the girls wore their hair naturally curly. Now it is always straight. Still lovely, but on a personal level the curly hair meant a lot.

That coat is AMAZING! And they all look so coordinated. The hats on the girls and Sasha's little purple gloves! Malia's sparkly hat!

LOVE IT!

OK, I know Mrs. R prefers to stay out of spotlight, but we grandmothers could use a little fashion inspiration too, and she is "happenin'!" Go, Mrs. R!

The Obamas and Mrs. Robinson are looking good! What beauty, style and class.

P.S. Sasha wins first place on my scorecard. Her plum-colored gloves are "big poppin'!"

Love the dazzling smile on Mrs. Robinson in that first photo! She is beautiful! The girls look adorable...love the pop of color of the scarves and gloves. Love Mrs. O's coat and the President is looking dapper! These photos warm my heart.

Thank you so much Mrs. T. This is such a heart warming group of photos.

I like the winter sophistication. The gloves, scarf, and jacket are all reminiscent of the 50s and 60s but they put a modern twist to the style.

I love that last photo of all of them in their coats. Just a perfect holiday family photo! Mrs. Robinson looks so happy. We love the First Grandmother!! Merry Christmas Obama Family!

Have not posted for a while due to a big loss in life. Not feeling this outfit. Mrs. O has such a great shape and I think fabric like this does not do her justice. Like the boots...but not with the dress. It may have looked better in "real life" however. Sometimes, the camera does not capture it all.

I love my husband He is so kind,
I love it in you, people, too, don’t roll your eyes!
I love my country. I love my planet.
I love when bridge is moving, love Hoboken mayor!
I love the needy, I love all homeless, I loved than sun comes up
To show we all deserve it!
I love you, people, I love your smile,
I love you getting mad when someone swears and lying!
We are a needle in the stock of hay, look up and you will see
Gigantic star’s parade! You just a comet, your life is short
I want you love this planet, it’s our only home.
