Fashionable Finale

Photo by Ethan Miller / Getty Images

With election day just hours away, the first lady made a final push for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid today, speaking at a voter rally at Canyon Springs High School in North Las Vegas, Nevada.

For the event, Mrs. O paired a sleeveless black top with DVF's Bhare Skirt, last seen in September 2009, here

Update: The first lady was more than busy yesterday, flying from an event in Las Vegas, Nevada to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for a rally held at the University of Pennsylvania on the eve of election day. For her second appearance, Mrs. O changed into a cropped Alaia jacket and turtleneck, suitable for the east coast Fall weather.

OMG fashionable as always! Never afraid of using things a few times and mixing expensive and less expensive things together. I love her sense of style and grace and use of color and pattens! Excellent job Mrs. Obama! You've done us women and nation proud!

And she just finished an event in Philadelphia. Same outfit paired with a black jacket worn somewhere overseas last year. Maybe somewhere else, too.

Sorry everyone -- not a fan of the outfit, or the candidate she's campaigning for. The previous outfit w/ the teal green cardigan was much more Michelle.

Go Harry!!!! I love FLOTUS' skirt, it has an African inspired print.

I love it when she wears her hair back and I hope he wins

This is how to style that skirt! Beautiful, simple, understated, elegant. Home run.

I like this skirt even better than the first time - with a simple top and the focus on the print of the skirt.

I love bold prints so this is a winner for me.

She so classy. I love the tribal look.

I also prefer this style. It looks simply elegant, especially with her hair up.

I agree...with the black fitted top, this skirt really shines. Love the look. She put on her black blazer that she wore in Paris last year, when she did her final campaign rally in PA later on in the day.

Had a look at the daylife photos. You are right IVA, its the Alaia jacket she wore last year in Strasbourg/France. It's my hometown and I saw her and the President!!

Dear Kristin Garcia,
Really, you should keep your politics to yourself. This is (how many times to commenters have to repeat this?) a site about Mrs. O. If politics is in the loop here - if you're a fan of Sharon Angle or whatever that woman's name is, then you've got no reason to be on this site unless you're trying to deliberately cause mischief. Tea partiers causing mischief? No, never!

I love that she is so popular amongst voters that she is sent as a grand finale to the campaign efforts. I don't think Hillary Clinton or Laura Bush had this much influence.

I hope her efforts prove successful.

I like the idea of the DVF skirt, but think it adds so much unncessary width to her silhouette.

I like the outfit.

Oh I am pleased to see this skirt again! Liked it first time out too.

@Joanne Stelling: You tell her! *chuckle*
@river rush: I agree; the patterned skirt--though I like DVF--adds a tad to much width. Love the top, though! (I'm in "awe," to put it mildly, of women with toned arms!

I like the coat, too. Black, nice lapels. So chic!

P.S. And I just realized that the First Lady has apple cheeks. Sweet!

I agree that the skirt adds too much width. The sleeveless top is nice but it is very form fitting so the outfit is not balanced. Looks better with the jacket I think.

I know I'm a Johnny-come-lately with this post, sorry about this. My computer has been down (among other things) so please indulge me in playing catch up here. I loved this skirt the first time and still do so here. For whatever reason, it looks better on our Michelle. This one was a winner in my book!
