The Obamas have arrived and Mrs. O has changed clothes! Mrs. O is wearing a chartreuse silk crepe sheath dress by Jason Wu dress paired with a black coat duster by Michael Kors, cinched at the waist by her signature Azzedine Alaia studded belt. If these first two ensembles are any indication, we have much to look forward to this week!

Mrs O was looking fit, slim, sexy and elegant in this outfit. Couldn't fault that ensemble. Perfect cut, colour and styling. I infinitely prefer it to the outfit for take off as it has a little more flair and individuality.
One does not need to wear couture to look lovely, refined and well-put- together, as Mrs. Obama demonstrates. I'm suspect of those putting down J. Crew here. I don't mean to sound like I'm doing PR for the company, but it's classic, American clothing. And in these economic times (which is the point of the visit), it's very smart of Michelle to mix in mass-market with her designers. To say that she should only wear custom is pretentious and elitist, two things the US does not need to be seen as.
What a stunning couple. Wow!
You are entitle to your opinions; but the biting vitriolic criticism of Michelle is so unnecessary. Jealous much?
With that being said; Bailey you are a troll. Take your negativity back with you under the rock you came from. Michelle is our first lady and I'll defend her to know end. I'd like to see how you dress from day to day.
Gotta say I love this outfit. Mrs O looks fabulous in belted dresses and the color is yummy on her! Whoever said she looks like a bumble bee is ridiculous, pop colors and black are a hot combo right now and she managed to pull it off with class.
I would die to have that outfit!!! Omfg I hate her so much!!! But she's gorgeous :D
Where to begin? So much work to do.
The outift she wore getting on the plane was nice -- easily the bestso far (not saying much). A little retro-Courreges (look it up, kids) but nice. She looks great in white and cream. Maybe a little Jackie-style pillbox hat to go with the flip.
OK. deep breath.
Black and yellow. No. Never. Not.
The dress is nice, but Michelle should NEVER wear knee-length skirts, because of one of her worst flaws, her bow legs. She looks like John Wayne getting off that plane!
The shawl collar and inset is a good touch as it distracts from the fact that she doesnt have much up top. Michelle does this a lot with necklines, it's asmart move.
The vertical lines of the coat and the belt are attempts, only partially successful, to create an illusion of slimness at her hips.
all in all, she would have done begtter to stick with the first outfit, which was more flattering and appropriate, and actually had some nice details.
she wore black to visit the queen, and textured, like i'd hoped - love the satin opear coat, but agree that the jacket worn for take-off would have been most approriate for the visit with the queen
hated the bling-bling j crew cardigan and skirt
The ensemble worn on the plane was nice. But what is the argyle sweater outfit? Come on, ugh. The first lady should leave j Crew for the college coed and dress like a First Lady.
Her people need to be honest with her.
This is a woman with grace style class and sex appeal
