Hattie Carnegie Flower Pin via Carole Tanenbaum Vintage Collection
The fabulous Carole Tanebaum is offering a 20% discount to Mrs-O.org readers who purchase vintage jewelry from CaroleTanenbaum.com between now and December 31.
Many of you who regularly follow this blog are now well familiar with Carole Tanenbaum. Ms. Tanebaum is a Toronto-based, world-renowned collector of vintage costume jewelry. She began collecting 30 years ago, while traveling in London with her husband. It was there that a beautiful collection of vintage jewelry at an antique show first caught her eye.
Though not a "jewelry person" at the time, Ms. Tanenbaum was so impressed with the quality of the collection, she soon saw each piece as an object of art, and thus began her collection of "wearable art." Carole Tanebaum's carefully curated collection now includes more than 15,000 pieces of vintage jewelry, dating from the Victorian era to the 1980s.
The Victorian sash pin that Mrs. O wore at the collar of her Isabel Toledo suit for the inauguration hailed from the Carole Tanenbaum Vintage Collection. Large, statement brooches by vintage designers such as Henry Schreiner and Hattie Carnegie are frequently worn by the first lady, and have originated from the collection as well.

BAD Mrs T.......
Thanks Mrs T, I'm going over right now to take a look and possibly treat myself for Christmas.
Everything is so wonderful! Alas, I have a beer budget.
Okay - this definitely comes under the "one for you, one for me" school of shopping! But well done, Mrs. T. Thanks!
Hmmm . . . I have a birthday next week . . .
nice blog!!
What a great website - I learned quite a bit about jewelry! The Czech pieces are beautiful.
WHY WHY WHY another cardigan sweater with an otherwise stunning outfit? Dump those dog-eared cardigans. Period. If you are wearing a beautiful dress that shimmers, select an equally appropriate JACKET OR CAPE--CARDIGANS do not go with EVERYTHING.
