Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 6:12 AM For the third year running, the First Lady replanted the White House garden on the South Lawn with elementary students from local DC schools. The garden includes spinach, peas, lettuce, broccoli, blueberries, raspberries and other vegetables and herbs.
Speaking of the White House kitchen garden, it was announced yesterday that the First Lady will write a book about the garden and healthy eating, to be published by Crown Publishing Group in 2012. All proceeds will be donated to a charity yet to be determined.

The First Lady spoke at the National League of Cities conference in Washington, D.C. today, elaborating on the economic implications of childhood obesity in a push for her "Let's Move" initiative.
For the appearance, Mrs. O wore a carmine viscose jersey dress from Calvin Klein Collection, Pre-Spring 2010, accented by a pearl and crystal necklace. Lovely!
