Happy Birthday Mrs. O

On her 48th birthday, the First Lady attended a White House event to celebrate the 2011 World Series champions, the St. Louis Cardinals.

On the fashion front: A L'Wren Scott lace cardigan, the famed Alaia belt and an Erickson Beamon pin from the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The President and First Lady marked Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a community service project at the Browne Education Campus in Washington, D.C. Tonight the President and First Lady will attend the Let Freedom Ring concert in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the Kennedy Center.

BET Honors

The First Lady appeared at the BET Honors ceremony on Saturday evening to honor the poet Maya Angelou. The ceremony was taped at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C. and will be broadcast February 13. 

On the fashion front: the First Lady debuted a stunning scarlet organza one shoulder gown by J.Mendel. The designer, Gilles Mendel, was recently honored at the National Design Awards in Washington, D.C.

iMeet The First Lady

The First Lady appeared at a special screening of her Nickelodeon iCarly episode, "iMeet The First Lady," where she did a bit of the 'random dance' with cast members Miranda Cosgrove and Jennette McCurdy. The event was held at Hayfield Secondary School in Fairfax, Va.
