Red, White & View

The president and first lady taped an interview for The View earlier today, which is set to air tomorrow. On the style front: Mrs. O paired a green full-skirted, square-neckline dress with layered necklaces and red heels. The Obamas are in New York this week for the United Nations General Assembly.

Update: Mrs. O's long necklace is Azaara, available on Fragments.com here.

WOW! Can the two of them look any better?! First Lady you are glowing!
The dress I am lovin' the color, the accesories very well done. Her shoes appear to have some interesting texture on them - A+ all around.

I love this dress! It shows off Mrs. O's arms and she looks fantastic in that color of green. The layered necklaces and shoes add to the outfit. Once again flawless! Wondering if it is a Michael Kors?

The dress is gorgeous, and I simply love those pumps! I got a full view of the dress from the video posted on www.theobamadiary.com.

Mrs. O fans, please state your opinion? In other photos (at www.theobamadiary.com) it looks like too much cleevage is showing. What do you think?

Just saw Mrs O on a news clip. The dress is a beautiful green, and really flatters her waistline and upper torso. Magnificent!!!

OK, Mary Tomer. So you only post comments that oooh and aaaah abt what Mrs. O has on? If people give their honest fashion perspective, you wont post it? Really.

Two beautiful, educated, intelligent, dedicated people who happened to find each other in and amongst the craziness of people, dating, life and finding ones soulmate. Together they have supported and strengthened each other and achieved immense greatness in the process. Every time I look at them I have an immense sense of pride, not because they're black and I'm black but because they are genuinely decent people. Love, marriage and motherhood never happened for me and hence I've become somewhat of a cynic but the Obamas have helped me to restore my faith in mankind. I honestly and truly wish them all the very best for the future.

I am looking forward to Obama's second term. I always figured he believed in wealth redistribution, but now that we actually have a tape of him saying it it gives me hope that he will send some of that money my way. It is the only way I will be able to afford the beautiful clothing Mrs O has. I have always wondered what she does with her old clothing. Does she donate it? Maybe someday she will auction some of it off and donate the proceeds to charity.

Mrs. A, you know that's not true. I wish it was because then I wouldn't have to come across foolishness like what DAR wrote. I also think it's not cool that you're trying to put Mrs. T on blast. If you want your posts to post immediately, all you have to do is register.
An-ty-way, I love this dress and I loved the layered necklaces. All true Mrs. O supporters, I hope you had a chance to see this interview. Mrs. O was so bubbly and playful. Her and PBO together is the best!!

BTW, I meant to say to Jestina, what you said is so beautiful and true!!

I did get a chance to see the entire show and they/are sooooo cute together. I liked when our Michelle kept pointing at POTUS and saying. " I'm voting for this guy!". You could see the love and affection that they have for one another. As for fashion, I am crazy about those shoes. They looked to be ostrich embossed kitten heels. That dress really did the job on that toned body of hers and I quite liked the color.
Ok Ms. Nyon! Hello Jestina, from across the pond!
Some comments just do not pass the smell test, no matter how they try to package it. I often wonder why they even bother to try.

I actually agree with DAR about selling Mrs O's clothing for charity. It was done with Princess Diana's dresses and raised millions for her charities.

Beautifully put Jestina. I'm Black British too and I echo 1000% what you wrote. I look forward to seeing this wonderful couple in the White House for another 4 years.
