Ladylike in L'Wren Scott

The President and First Lady traveled to Fort Stewart in Hinesville, Georgia today where they met with military service members. For the occasion, Mrs. O paired a full-skirted red dress with an embroidered L'Wren Scott cardigan. (Mrs. O is on a L'Wren Scott kick this week!) A structured black bag and red flats completed the look.
Update: The First Lady also wears a crimson double face stretch wool crepe square neck flare dress by Michael Kors, from the designer's Pre-Fall 2012 collection.

It is so inspiring to watch our beautiful First Lady! I truly believe that she is truly authentically comfortable and self assured just being her true self! She has created her own unique style, rather than allowing any particular designer to dictate and define who she is! What a wonderful place to be in;
"Self Actualized"!

FABULOUS, LOVELY, SIMPLY AMAZING IS THE FIRST LADY.
MICHELE HAS BROUGHT CARDIGAN TO LIFE WITH A WHOLE NEW LOOK AND MEANING.
Here's a YouTube link to the First Lady and the President's remarks today at Ft. Stewart. A moment to be recorded in time is around 4:30 when the President is singing Michelle's praises at the same time she was taking off her sweater (it was HOT here today!). Barack was giving the single guys his secret to success: "Your goal is to improve your gene pool by marrying someone that is superior to you." Fantastic moment and could not have been planned better as Michelle's great arms were revealed at the same time her superiority was being noted. LOL

Beautiful! Beautiful First Couple! Love the First Lady in red! Obama 2012!
The dress fits beautifully and the sweater is so cute with the dress. Very nice look.
The black structured bag I'm not so sure I like with the dress and shoes.
Good look! Cant wait to see what she wears to the WHCD tonite

I love our 1st family. A few weeks ago, we saw Sasha wearing a hand-me-down dress that had been seen on Malia. This week we see Mrs. O rock multiple colors of an L'Wren Scott cardigan, and look stunning both times. i surely appreciate the family's practicality when it comes to fashion!
Are the two sweaters exactly alike, except for color? Both outfits are beautiful. We are so lucky to have her asFirst Lady.
I have been following this site from my home in England for some time now but have never made a comment. I really love the way your FLOTUS exudes confidence and style. Her down to earth manner and effortless flair is really inspirational. I've never commented on a blog before, but it's really because I have seen others that use foul language and have been nothing but a free for all where individuals are insulted for having differing opinions. Miss T, this fashion blog is a credit to your dedicated hard work - and having such an easy fashion forward subject of course!
It appears the two sweaters have the same pattern. They are both beautiful and work well to compliment a simple look to make it chic but looms comfortable.especially if you are traveling. Just lovely
Gaylev, I agree with you - this is a pretty outfit but that bag kills the look. So many darling bags to choose from out there - this black structured bag doesn't go with the rest of the outfit. Ditch the bag and it's all good.
This black bag is very much like the ones that Queen Elizabeth carries everywhere. It works for her, so why not the First Lady. I would say she is "dressed up" for the nice trip.
This is a wonderful outfit. So youthful and bright.
also like the color coordination in this ensemble. Her bag complements the President's suit.
This is a beautiful look an so refreshing. I am so proud of them.
This is a very nice combination of the colours. Michelle never ceases to inspire. !
Our Michelle really knows what works on her, this works.
This bag does remind me of the ones that The Queen carries. She has carried this style of bag for years upon years and it's still stylish.
Classic!
I found out the dress is a Michael Kors crimson double face stretch wool crepe square neck flare dress from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection. She looks so fresh and beautiful! And happy! Lovely!
I don't care for the bag with this look either, but is IS very Jackie O;)
I love the shoes, but I think the bag is too formal for the outfit.
Mrs O is a remarkable Fashion Icon.
This is a beautiful moment where they are looking so refreshing. I am so proud of them.
