In the Mix

The First Lady spoke at a fundraiser for the Obama Victory Fund at the 18th and Vine Museum Complex in Kansas City, Missouri today. Arriving at Lambert St. Louis International Airport, Mrs. O met with Corporal Tiffany Garcia and her husband Omar Garcia, both part of The Mission Continues

On the style front, Mrs. O mixed blue tones, pairing a sleeveless dress with a cropped cardigan and low heels. An Alexis Bittar pin completed the look. Pool reports indicate someone in the crowd shouted “You’re beautiful!” as the First Lady took the stage.

I also echo the same compiment- FLOTUS is really a beautiful woman.
She mixes and matches colours and wears them so well. HI Five for the FIRST LADY.
Truly an inspiration for women of colour.

And she is beautiful, in the truest sense of the word -- a generous, sharing, loving and beautiful spirit that shines from within, and that is obvious even in pictures. Imagine how powerful and stunning she must be in person! I am in awe of this woman.

Michelle Obama is indeed the best and stylish First lady of America ever! I Also think that Jackie was also very stylish but the world is broader now and Michelle has surpassed jackie in many ways. Jackie belongs to the sixties generation and many women of this generation dont know her and they cant be identified with her. This is Michelle obama era! i love Michelle Obama so much and i make sure i follow up on each and every outfit she wears.

Her clothes are all over the shops in South Africa. you can hardly see a woman wearing a suit in South Africa this days.Michelle dresses are the in thing. from South Africa.

Yes, the First Lady is simply luminescent in shades of blue. Love the simplicity and easy style of this classic, early spring look. A nice cool breeze.

Loving the blue tones but loving Mrs Obama's passion and enthusiasm more. She really enjoys her job and it's always a pleasure to see these lovely pictures.

Videos also show a turquoise blue coat in what looks like a fabulous fabric that adds some texture to the mix. Can't find any still pictures of it, but she looks beautiful as always.

Outstanding First Lady with such a passion for people. I love how she becomes very animated around kids. She really wears shades of blue very well.

@Kathie, I noticed the coat, too. Looks like this one: http://mrs-o.com/newdata/2009/11/11/marking-veterans-day.html Love all the shades of blue together.

Wonderful to see her wearing a cardigan with the same color of the dress she wore to the 2008 DNC. Awww, brings back memories!

The very lovely Mrs. O!

@ Kathie, the coat is from back in 2009; if you go back on this site to the post 2009 Inauguration pictures, you should be able to find it.

Mrs. O. looks great. It's obvious that POTUS and FLOTUS really like regular people. On the style front, I like the look, something that any woman can wear. Has the First Lady lost a few pounds, she looks smaller in the waist and hips?

The thing that makes her so wonderful and inspiring is that she is beautiful inside and out. It would have been so easy for someone like her to turn her nose up and play a diva in her role with her education. But, she goes from fabulous couture evening gown to entertain dignitaries and heads of state to jeans and t-shirt to paint a home for a needy family to playing jumprope with a group of inner city kids. Lets not get started on digging in the dirt to plant vegetables or hugging everyone she meets. She's amazing. Love her. Adore my president too. He's the male version of her. Obama 2012!

I thought that blue coat was one she wore with black boots and black belt to Arlington Cemetary??

Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 4:08 PM | Unregistered Commenterauni

I think she wore the shoes on Inauguration Day. I love her natural warmth and expressiveness. @Maggie--Prior to Michele, Jackie was my favorite FLOTUS. It is a different era. It's been stated before, Michele goes from J Crew to Haute Couture. Jackie seems to have been Haute Coture for all formal FLOTUS ocassions.

Love the energy in this photo--both from the colors and from Mrs. O herself.

A very beautiful outfit! I love how our FLOTUS is soooo busy (get to see more outfits smile!) I adore the coat with this outfit and how it appears the shoes match her sweater in the picture. Love the length of the dress and the detail. She truly makes me so proud to have lived to see her in my lifetime!

KitCat, you actually can't see it in this photo (sorry!) but the First Lady was wearing it on her dress at the left shoulder.

First Lady Michelle Obama's beauty radiates outwardly from within her, in her interaction with others. Her smile is genuine and natural. The greens and blues in this particular outfit shows a subtle, relaxed elegance, <3
