Happy Weekend

The First Lady, joined by New Hampshire's first lady, Dr. Susan Lynch, visited Penacook Community Center in Concord, N.H. yesterday as part of her Let's Move initiative.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
Update: Thanks to those who recommended this photo, which shows the First Lady's butterfly pin. The pin is a House of Lavande vintage lucite butterfly brooch.

beautiful! Obama 2012!
Now that's a picture with wonderful energy! And the kids are too cute! ...The First Lady is such a Natural--everything!
Mrs. T. You do such a great job for us FLOTUS watchers, but the photo fails to capture the unusual pin the First Lady is wearing. It is a must see! It makes the outfit! Rest up Mrs. T and continue the good work because we need both of the Obamas for the next four years as well as your splendid coverage. Happy to help all to see that fabulous pin at http://obamadiary.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/michelle-obama-2012-3-9-16-10-27.jpg?w=800&h=507
Menswear meets Michelle!
How she finds the energy to do what she does is beyond me. A busy wife and mom, a great helpmate to her husband and a role model for a nation, she is amazing.
I think the little cutie on the right could be upstaging the First Lady in this pic lol!
Hi Mrs. T,
Thanks for keeping us up to date on FLOTUS's activities and fashions. She wore a beautiful butterfly-like pin with this outfit that is pictured here: http://www.daylife.com/photo/072r7a1eZ77CE?__site=daylife&q=Michelle+Obama. Any idea who the designer of the pin might be?
My boyfriend surprised me this weekend by offering to buy tickets to a fundraiser this Friday to see Mrs. O in person! I am so excited. I didn't even know she would be in town, (Minneapolis,) he heard about it and offered because he knows I'm a fan. I don't comment often, but I've been following this site since it started, have Mrs. T's book, and am just so impressed by our wonderful First Lady.
I'm sure we'll barely be able to see her, we can only afford the entry level tickets and can't leave work early to be there when the doors open. But still! I'm thrilled, and had to share my excitement with people who would understand. :) Now the hard part is deciding what to wear...
@ LizaJae, I'm so jealous! I hope you get to shake her hand!
@LizaJae: represent, girl! You go for all of us! And be sure and post your comments!
Congrats LizaJae!! Your boyfriend is super sweet for doing that. Oh yes, what does one wear to see one of the most fashionable women in the world?! LOL, No pressure!
This pic is adorable. I can't wait until the state dinner on Wednesday!!
LizJae, do come back and share stories with us!
Good job for your boyfriend!
i just joined this site. i didn't know of its existence until i googled my favorite first lady in the world. i love her outfit in this picture. there's just something about her that makes everything she wears look flawless. i am intrigued by her. what can i say, i just love this woman!
She has captivated some of us in ways I never thought possible before. I was not one for following famous people but Michelle is something else. When I think seriously about it, apart from the fabulous clothes ,it is what pours from her heart and her actions which captures me the most.
Welcome to this wonderful site. It is a shame you recently just discovered it but rest assured you will learn a lot and be greatly entertained over here. Thanks Mrs. T. your efforts are much appreciated.
In that second picture she is cute as a button!
Great friendship shown in this visit - Love the brooch - Lovely Lady, with such energy -
The Obama Family certainly work as a team, and it shows in all their photos.

Love the way she seems so comfortable with kids and they with her. The "mom" seems to come out when she is around children and they respond. The hugs, the smiles and the way the kids are not awed, but just natural.
