Best of 2012: Dresses, Suits and Such

As noted above, the "Best of 2012" is divided into two categories this year: gowns and everything else. This post contains the latter. Below you'll find a short list of my picks for Mrs. O's best-dressed non-gown looks from 2012, as well as a poll. Collectively we can declare the best of the year. The poll will remain open for three days. Happy Voting! P.S. Please feel free to use the comments to give any missed looks their due credit.
January 24, 2012: State of the Union - Barbara Tfank
June 5, 2012: Let's Move Event - Preen

I voted for the Tracy Reese dress, but the J. Mendel was a very close runner-up.
This is like the Academy Awards - should have won, actually won! I voted for the Buckingham Palace outfit because Mrs. O more than held her own in such a grand place! It was an inspired choice as counterpoint to "Majesty"! That being said, her Laura Smalls dress of Sept. 6th suits her frame beautifully such that there is a perfect balance between arms, shoulders, bosom, waist and legs.
The DNC dress is just AMAZING!!! I was mesmerized by the Shimmery effects of this dress, the Swirly movement of it, the Beautiful raspberry pumps she wore to complement the dress - and that Amazing nail polish she rocked, in a silvery-purple color! Our First Lady REALLY knows how to wear colors in Bold, Beautiful ways!!! Such a Graceful (yet Strong) choice for the DNC!!! Mrs. O Always looks Fabulous but she Really Glowed at the DNC in that Glorious dress!
I am disappointed that you did not include the mixed print, v-neck dress shown on the October 9, 2012 posting, reported to be by ETRO. I thought this dress was fabulous on her: great shape with the v-neck, emphasis on the waist, and flared skirt; colors that are great for her; and sophisticated assortment of prints that give that bit of animation that she wears so well. One of her best looks ever, in my opinion, and very comfortable and easy to wear.
Forgot to say that in the absence of the mixed-print dress I voted for the Buckingham Palace outfit. So beautiful on her, I thought, and as always she represented our country so elegantly. DNC speech dress was a close second.
I voted but it was hard! I finally went went the Buckingham Palace J Mendel which made me gasp when I first saw her in it last summer. But I did the same thing for the Tracy Reese DNC knockout!!
