Where is Mrs. O?

The question du jour: Where is Mrs. O? I can only wager a guess, which would be that perhaps the First Lady is celebrating her husband's 50th birthday and enjoying a short respite away from the public eye. Until we see Mrs. O next, I've collected these tidbits from around the web to occupy the collective us. Enjoy!

8/4: "The White House staff will toast the president in a midday gathering in the Blue Room. In the evening, a dinner party is planned for family and friends, including some from Chicago. First daughter Malia is also coming home from summer camp today to celebrate her father’s big birthday." [ABC News]
On a related note, Mrs. O sent out an email asking supporters to sign President Obama's birthday card today. [USA Today]

Hello Mrs. T!
I love that they were both named to VF's International Best Dressed List. Sweet. They both really deserve it. And I love the cute belted top and the laughs in the photo with Ty Pennington.
I read that they will be spending this weekend at Camp David and then another vacation at Martha's Vineyard toward the end of the month. Hope they both get some much needed rest and lots of close time with one another. Lots of LOVE to them.
The White House says Mrs. Obama is taking off the month of August -- a much-deserved break, I'm sure we all agree! :-)
Hi there,
I was about to write an e-mail asking if everything is ok with you, as you usually post so constantly.
I have recently read a quite surprising article in our local press- I live in Romania- about a possible divorce in the First Family, but I am quite suspicious about this. I have not found references in any international press source, so I don't know where they took the information from. I really hope it is nonsense. Have a nice weekend, Ana-Maria from Romania.
Mrs. T--
Thank you for giving us something else to look at. I saw a tiny picture of Mrs. Obama hugging the President during his birthday celebration, but I couldn't really see what she was wearing. I was hoping we'd see more birthday pics on the blogs, but, so far, not much. But, I respect the fact that the family needs some "alone time", so will just wait patiently.
Meanwhile I'm shopping my closet to create more Mrs. O looks!!
Ana-Maria, wow what a rumor! If there is divorce in a First Family, it would most likely be the First (AKA Royal) Family of England! A divorce in THAT family--now that is a rumor I would believe!
Thanks for the update. I was wondering where our fab Flotus was hiding. She needs a break. It must be tough to be in her shoes hearing negative and vicious ( mostly unfounded) rumors about yourself and your husband on practically an hourly basis. Being criticized for every move and decision you make. Plus three digit temperatures and two growing daughters with different interests and activities. Its a lot. But, looking at her you wouldnt see the pressure of being the first black FLOTUS. You see a woman who is capable and confident. Love her!
Hey Pinda, thanks for initiating the need for new info. Thanks Mrs.T for sharing, you are the best!
Love the belted top Mrs. O is wearing in the photo with Ty Pennington!
I wish I could see a close up of this taken on the 28th. http://www.flickr.com/photos/58604363@N05/5986031224/in/photostream/
I am so eager to see some pictures of what FLOTUS was wearing for the POTUS 50th b-day celebration(s) but they seem so hard to locate ! I did just see this adorable clip of some light hearted moments between POTUS and FLOTUS. Please click here if you would like to see it.
I was wondering if there were any pics from Mrs. Obama's trip to Spain this August 2011?
They're back from Camp David. http://www.daylife.com/photo/0evLfYO08I4kD?q=michelle+obama

I agree with most of what you say but why would you mention there be pressure being the first black FLOTUS? I mean there is pressure on any FLOTUS, wheather black or white unless you feel that being black is a problem. I don't even ackowledge her skin colour, she is just amazing!
@Ann
Your cultural blindness, historical ignorance, and passive-aggressive racism were so unnecessary.
About as unnecessary as yours Dr Cheryl.
