Mrs. T, loved this video...made me want to hop up and dance! Also really enjoyed the article about you and your column in May/June issue of Veranda. Congratulations on that media coverage, and kudos to you for your fun blog. BTW, beautiful wedding picture, gorgeous gown, handsome husband.
Thank you CoachSKS! I had the same feeling about the video. Amazing! Glad, too, that you liked the Veranda piece! I'm honored to be included and thrilled with how it turned out. xx
This is a GREAT video! So much energy and fun being had by all. Beyonce is creative and reinvents herself, it seems to me every three months. This is positive and speaking for myself, as a young girl, we did not have the privilege of attending expensive gyms growing up. But we did have parents who always said to EAT YOUR VEGETABLES.....And as a teenager we would go out to dance, I mean dance in platform shoes all night. I love Beyonce for being able to do that. I would not recommend it because it takes a lot of skills. Tina Turner comes to mind. I notice some of the high paid fashion models can barely WALK in high shoes today. We created our dance moves ont the dance floor and we stayed in shape. Just dance at home while no one is watching or dance if they are. It is fun and it makes you feel great. Thanks Mrs. T. for posting this and I am sure Our Mrs. O. is proud and welcomes Beyonce's efforts to encourage everyone.....LET'S MOVE!!!!
I had heard that Beyonce did a video for the Let's Move initiative but never was able to see it on the internet. Thanks Mrs.T for posting! This does look like fun.
And what is this I see about our Mrs. T in Veranda? Oh well, off to Barnes and Nobles in the morning! You know that I'm proud of you!
Thanks, Mrs O, Mrs T, and Beyonce, for showing kids (and reminding us adults) that exercising doesn't have to be a dull, boring chore.
Just popped into my head...there's a lot that can be spun off from this video. I live in a college town with a big university. The student athletes frequently go to public schools to talk to kids about staying in school, setting goals, etc. The university could send their dance squad that performs at games to local schools' PE classes to teach the kids fun dance moves like this. Let's move...and have fun!
Did anyone else notice how, towards the end of the video, Beyonce sings "Run to the left, to the left" and "Run to the right, to the right" but she is running in the opposite direction? Strange. Perhaps the reasoning is it doesn't matter which direction you're running in as long as you're moving.

I saw the video last week on FB; I think it's going to get a lot of youngsters and not-so-youngsters moving!
Love this video. I think I'm going to have to work on my moves!
I wasn't aware that you (Mrs. T.) were in Veranda magazine but now I will go buy it.

Oh wow...how does she run and do all those other moves in heels? For all of 4 minutes?! I'd be flat out within the first minute.! Whew!
