Questions and Answers

Earlier today, the First Lady hosted a White House event for "Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day." For the occasion, Mrs. O wore a floral DVF dress, paired with a cream cardigan and duo of jeweled pins. Red flats completed the look.
As part of the day, 200 children of White House employees had a chance to ask Mrs. O a few questions, captured in the Politico article below. Definitely worth a read!

Mrs. O has worn this dress before and I LOVED it. This dress is absolutely beautiful on her!!!!!
Awww...FLOTUS looks tired, but the beautiful floral dress is brightening what may have been gray day in DC given the storms and tornadoes that traveled up north.
On that note, my prayers go to all of those affected by the tornadoes, and who've lost loved ones.
I think she would have been more comfortable in pants.
I love the DVF dress, but I do love DVF!
This dress is simply too darn short and the first thing you notice about the pic is that Mrs. O. is showing too much leg. As Babs noted, Mrs. O. would have been better off in pants, or at least in a longer, fuller dress or skirt.
I LOVE this beautiful sheath (and the beautiful woman wearing it)!
IVA, thank you for remembering those who have been affected by the tornadoes. How devastating! :-(
Beautiful but too much exposed thigh.
Wonderful event.
SN: Mrs. Obama's dress is appropriate as well as the length; funny, no one "complained" about the short lengths of Dr. Biden's dresses when they were above her knees, which in my opinion were not too short.
I love this dress and think Mrs Obama looks very nice in it. Having seen a picture of Mrs Obama standing up in the dress, I don't think it is too short. I think it is more a question of the dress having ridden up and her not adjusting it as she sat down. The result - maybe a bit too much thigh on show regardless of how toned they may be.
Re Dr Biden - I often think that women who have thinner thighs can get away with wearing shorter lengths without being accused of looking inappropriate or lacking decorum.
Watch this video and Mrs. O will tell you exactly why she wore this dress and every other thing she wears ;-)

Mrs. O you are pretty, girl!!
She last wore this DVF dress with teal pumps (no sweater) for a posthumous Medal of Honor ceremony at the White House a year or so ago. I imagine Mrs. T has that photo on file.
Thanks Nyon for the link.
