Mrs. O on Today

...and Regis & Kelly!
P.S. Curious about what Mrs. O is wearing? The Washington Post reports the navy polka dot dress was designed by Swedish retail chain H&M, adding:
The first lady donned a navy polka dot knee-length day dress with a ruffled collar by Swedish retail chain H&M. The dress is part of their current collection and retails for $34.95. She paired the dress with a thick red belt and yellow kitten heels. It appears she did not wear the red sash that accompanies the dress.
The first lady's office didn't comment on who designed her accessories, but confirmed that she was wearing a dress by the fast-fashion retailer H&M.
But that's not all! People.com reports that Mrs. O had the dress customized, adding sleeves to the H&M design. The original dress, seen below, is currently available in H&M stores as part of their Spring collection.

How can this be reported as a $35 dress when it took 2 or 3 of the dresses to supply the cloth for this personally tailored outfit? It would seem to be a flat-out lie that this is off the rack or anywhere near $35 in cost.
LMAO, I was wondering how long it would take nonpasserat to show up, I really get a kick out of her posts. @mszonian524 I don't think we can get rid of her, free speech and amendment rights but your response was a good one. Now where is nic john, complaining about her hair and the size of her head. Don't hate me for conjuring him up. Give nonpasserat a break she is at least predictable and therefore not dangerous.
Fantastic dress - I love that it's been customised because that's so easy to do and I've done it myself. Buy two, use the skirt of the second one to make sleeves! I look awful in sleeveless dresses so it's a good idea when the dress is reasonably priced. I surprised myself by liking the shoes and belt. Normally the yellow would have been a bad for me but I really liked it.
Thought Matt Lauer kind of wasted the chance to talk to Mrs O about LET'S MOVE which is why she was on there.... A shame, but predictable. Shouldn't have asked her about foreign policy but she handled it well of course, should have asked her why let's move is important and what it is achieving. Never mind, but get it right next time man!
Michelle Obama frequently looks better in the clothes and combinations she puts together than the women on the runway. She mixes and matches like a pro. I imagine she learned to make the most with what she had when she was young. Her mother deserves some of the credit I'm sure. As far as the yellow shoes go I can't decide what I think. I do like the sleeves and the belt in place of the sash. The sash would work on a younger woman, and would probably work on Michelle for an afternoon tea or some other event. I agree she handled the questions from Matt Lauer beautifully. I didn't see her on Regis because I didn't realize she was going to be on. I admit this site and what she wears is of great interest to me although I am too heavy and old for many of her outfits. And, of course, my budget isn't the same. But Michelle doesn't care if she is seen in the same outfit on several occasions. She sure does have a flare for fashion no matter who her "stylist" is.
who says Mrs. O doesn't have a sense of humor. All that fol-de-rol about an expensive red dress from Alexander McQueen, and then she rocks in a forty dollar dress off the rack of an inexpensive department store. (Ok,so she had it altered, it's still a very inexpensive dress). Please don't tell me she wasn't chuckling when she got dressed that day.
