There is absolutely no excuse for this shoddy, flippant no-good story to be out there! None!
Even at boutiques that deal with non-First lady types, there is an expected level of discretion and Ikram epitomizes that.
Not a peep out of Ikram all these years and now this Meredith lady blabs non-stop!!!
The Obamas are up against the worst sort of witch-hunting we've ever seen and to give those looking for anything at all to slam the Obamas any sort of story, is to do this President and First Lady a great disservice.
Right now, there are those who will criticize the Obamas for breathing, and for those lot, a stupid focus on something like this makes them lick their lips with glee - Never mind that ALL first Ladies have had wardrobe advisors.
Meredith Koop is immature, indiscreet and lacking and should not be allowed anywhere near our President and First lady!!!

I couldn't agree more with what you said. I now realize why the East Wing might be discreet about her official job title, because if they ever acknowledged her as personal shopper the media would have FLOTUS head on a platter for hiring a personal shopper. Remember that FLOTUS was taken to task for not flying on a commerical plane to Spain, London, and other places without POTUS. Eventhough we all know it's crazy to act like the First Lady should hop on the next American Airline flight to her next destination, but the media thinks like that.
I wouldn't be shocked to read in a few months that Meredith got fired.
There's an old saying "Loose lips sink ships"........Truly disappointing.
At the least Ms. Koop should be taken to the wood shed, but my guess is Mrs. O and her team will be stern but forgiving. The perception may be that she is youngish and that youth can be prone to indiscretion.
However it plays out, it will probably be a one time only error on Ms. Koop's part.
