The First Lady debuted a basket weave print dress to attend a "Hiring our Heroes" jobs fair for military veterans and spouses in Hawaii yesterday.

Update: Mrs. Obama wears a custom Peter Som dress.

Michele can wear nothing wrong for me.

i like how mrs. obama continually reinvents herself, particularly her hairstyles. these hairstyles are totally unconventional but somehow they work for her. my favorite part of this one is the part in the front - it makes her look youthful and vibrant. (you can see more detail on obamadiary)
since this is a fashion blog - i think this whole outfit is a winner.

Whoa! There have been so many great looks on this trip that I'm beginning to wish it won't end. But we need our FLOTUS a little closer.

Energetic-chic!
There's just so much "pep" in her "step"!

Lookking fab! Will she be accompanying the POTUS on the trip to Austrailia? Does anyone know?

Well, it is over for her. She flew back home after this event. However, she and Jill Biden will be starting the Nascar race in Homestead, Florida on Sunday afternoon.

I just watched the welcoming ceremony in Australia and he is, indeed. alone--except for the approximately 500 people accompanying him--200 Secret Service. (Australian news sources are very informative.) These ceremonies in foreign lands where our national anthem is played and great respect is shown our president always impress me. I think a video of these when any of our presidents travels abroad should be played in every classroom.

@ Sharon Nelson, thanks for the update. I must admit I was hoping that FLOTUS was going to give us some of her "abroad fashions". It's always a treat to see the enthusiasm that people in other countries have for her, well, for both of them.
This dress reminds me of a DVF priint or Tory Burch dress. It will be interesting to see who made this.
This is a good look for our Michelle.

@Sharon Nelson, I agree. It sometimes seems as though our President gets more respect abroad than he does at home. Maybe we'll see some interesting NASCAR fashions from our two favorite ladies!!!

Love this dress; she fits in so well with the nautical look and the Islands in this.

She's definitely in her sleeveless element here. I like the pattern. The shoes are nice too. I wonder what size she wears lol! Any word on where her dress comes from? So we can snap it up before it sells out lol!

@Sharon Nelson and Pinda, I agree. It seems Americans, all Americans, just don't realize how blessed we are to have this First Family in the White House for "such a time as this". I love the fashions that Mrs. O wears, but more importantly, her vivacious, sincere, caring personality coupled with the ability she and our President have to handle the matters of this great country, truly makes me proud to be an American. God bless Mrs. Obama, God bless our President, God bless the First Family and God bless America!
