All in a Day's Work

Photos by Pablo Martinez Monsivais / AP Images
The First Lady certainly had a busy Wednesday! This morning Mrs. O spoke to members of the secret service to thank them for their public service. This afternoon, it was on to the White House kitchen garden, where Mrs. O harvested autumn vegetables with students from Bancroft and Tubman elementary schools.
On the style front, Mrs. O addressed secret service members wearing a dot bow blouse, teal sweater and blue trousers. For gardening, Mrs. O changed into a J.Crew Jester sweater and slim black pants.

MRSO looked very relaxed and happy today. She was dressed appropriately and yet looked vey chic! Love both looks.
I LOVE THIS OUTFIT!!! This is one flattering outfit on Mrs. O. She looks great. Nice, elegant colors and the scarf is great accessory.
Ok, this is how fall is done! Mrs. T, have we seen the dot bow blouse before? I love how the bow balances the outfit so she didn't need extra jewellery. Lovely!
Love the attitude
Polka dots.....timeless classic ....Love it !!
LOVE both outfits!
I definitely will be wearing my own interpretation of both this fall.
I love both of the outfits bottom line I need to go shopping and channel my Mrs. O! I love the outfit that she wore to the USS event. I love those guys they are truly awesome. Hello everyone!
@ Joss, I think this is the blouse she wore to an event regarding teachers.
Both outfits are Fall-chic!
She looks marvelous!!
Yeah, a blouse worn again in a creative manner! Love the teal colored sweater and there is nothing like a classic argyle print...lovely color as well. Her hair and smile divine in the second picture.
She looks adorable. I really love the picture of Mrs. O smiling out at the Secret Service Agents.
God Bless all of you Secret Service Agents for the wonderful and heroic jobs you do protecting President Obama and his family and Vice President Biden and his family. Thank you.
Peace.
Wow, such luxurious hair! Any details?
Absolutely gorgeous, esp. in the second photograph! Great work, Pablo Martinez Monsivais.
That J. Crew sweater looks better on Mrs. O. than it does on the model.
I wonder if that blouse with the bow is part of an outfit she wore with a matching skirt at some Supreme Court meeting--I think honoring the Justice who wears the lace gloves (just can't remember her name). Another senior moment
@ Auni, I think that bow and blouse is part of the Jason Wu set that that our Michelle wore when she was in England, as well as the ceremony for Justice Sotomayer in August 2009. Look in the index under Jason Wu and you'll see it. Also, I think the Justice that you're referring to is Ruth Bader Ginsberg. She loves her gloves and lace collars.
It's really refreshing to see The Secret Service being acknowledged for their tireless contributions to the safety of our First Family. Now that job is indeed a calling!
As for fashion, our FLOTUS manages to look snazzy while doing even the most mundane of chores. I remind myself of that when I find myself schlepping about town, I tell myself, "pull it together girl!" It really takes very little effort and even less money.
I love that Mrs Obama wears J Crew (I'm 60 something and it's still one of my favorite places to shop).
There are still dozens of the J Crew argyle sweater on the rack at J Crew and I'm wondering if that has anything to do with the president's declining popularity. Hope not.
It might just be me, but those pants read as navy blue on my monitor, which I think
is an interesting color combination and very Michelle Obama...
I realized my error, but it would not let me revise my comment. Sorry.
Ms. Obama is wearing a Gucci sweater & blouse.
KK, if you wouldn't mind, please email at contact@mrs-o.org to share further details. Thanks!
