Mrs. O Goes to Rhode Island

Photo by Stephan Savoia / AP Images
The First Lady traveled to Cranston, RI on Friday to meet with spouses of military service members on behalf of the Democratic Party. On the style front, Mrs. O paired a printed silk and cotton top by Duro Olowu with a cardigan and floral brooch.

I have noticed several black and white outfits lately. I like them! And I like Mrs. O in color, too.
I adore and covet the beautiful brooch. Do you know where it was purchased or who made it, Mrs. T.? Thanks in advance!
That isn't the Moschino brooch that she wore on the campaign trail and, I think, to the Kennedy Centre in the early days of her husband's presidency? Hooray for brooches!
Fresh! Is that a belt I see near the edge of the table? She look great.
Happy 19th Wedding Anniversary President and Mrs. Obama!
simple and elegant
Hello!
There are more pictures of her in an article about her visit to Portland, Maine on the same day--before going on to Rhode Island.
The article can be found at this site:

Fresh and simple. Very nice.
I love the see thru effect of the cardigan. I dont think the pic posted here does the look justice. The link that was posted by Dr. Cheryl gives better views.
Adear, that belt looks like one of her top style staples---the studded Alaia belt.
What is in the water that FLOTUS is drinking? She looks younger and younger in some pics. I did not notice the sheerness of the sweater until I read the comments. The cardi is probably that tissue weight fabric that J Crew has been showing the last couple of seasons. I like the timelessness of black/white combo, classic. That's a nice look on our Michelle.
Mckinley thanks!
Dr. Cheryl great views of the outfit thanks as well.
Dr. Cheryl, I agree, thank you so much for sharing! I'm not sure about the brooch -- it may be a new addition to the jewelry repertoire?
