First Lady Mrs. O delivered remarks at the National Restaurant Association's fall board meeting at the Hyatt Regency in Washington, DC today, with a focus on her "Let's Move" initiative. Per the Wall Street Journal, Mrs. O outlined menu changes she hopes to see in the restaurant industry:

“I’m not asking any of you to make drastic changes to every single one of your recipes or to totally change the way you do business. But what I am asking is that you consider reformulating your menu in pragmatic and incremental ways to create healthier versions of the foods that we all love. That could mean substituting wheat pasta for white pasta in your regular recipes, or taking … an existing dish and cutting the amount of butter or cream.”

The strong message was matched with equal parts femininity. For the event, Mrs. O wore a washed rose and tweed dress by Rachel Roy, last seen for Barbara Walters' interview with the first lady in late 2009, here

So pretty and feminine. Good choice on both the lip gloss color and simple earrings.

I love this dress, very flirty and feminine. In fact, I have liked all of Rachel Roy’s emsembles that the First Lady has worn. My favourites are the dress she wore whilst being interviewed in the White House last year and the other is the one she wore in Mexico earlier this year.

She does look lovely, as usual. I like this dress quite and rose tones on FLOTUS are the best.

I know I have already commented on this post but I just can't help myself she looks stunning. I can't wait to see what she wears wednesday night. That will be a perfect ending to a day full of testing.

She looks always stunning in her Rachel Roy dresses!
Nyon, thanks for the link. Lovely! Could these be the shoes she wore with the Byron Lars dress at the Dance Series?

I love that color on her. What I'd love - after she leaves the White House - is to know what products she uses. Her makeup is always spot on.

That's a gorgeous print. Again, Mrs. O's makeup is perfection.
