Mrs. O in Good Housekeeping

PRNewsFoto/Good Housekeeping
The first lady is on the cover of Good Housekeeping's May 125th anniversary issue, wearing a teal wrap dress, accessorized with a classic strand of pearls. The first lady's Garavelli diamond flower pin - a gift from the president - adds a touch of sparkle and personal sentiment. Lovely!
Update: Mrs. O wears a Michael Kors Marine Stretch Matte Jersey Starlet sheath dress on her cover of Good Housekeeping

Holy smokes. Easy on the photoshopping there, Good Housekeeping. One more pass with the retouching tool and she would have looked like a Michelle Obama commemorative doll.
Edited to add: whoops, I posted before reading. I see you guys are all over it.
Jestina: I am in complete agreement that pearls are a wonderful jewelry staple. My husband bought me a beautiful pearl (not faux!) necklace many, many years ago when pearls were not so costly, and I only recently started wearing it again. Mrs. O. was my inspiration. She has also inspired me to do a little experimenting with attaching brooches to the necklace.
Where can we read the interview?
Mrs. S, a lacefront is a type of weave. I'm not sure, but I think you mold your real hair down and put the lacefront on top of it and it gives the illusion of a perfect hairline.
@Char, Did you mean the article "Mrs. Obama's Washington," if so, go back to her photo in pink dress on magazine cover, Mrs. O in Conde Nast Traveler
Nyon, thank you for the explanation of a lacefront. I learned something new!

That goodness it's not as bad as the photoshopping job.

Nyon explained it well. I don't know why some women do it because it always looks fake as a $2 bill to me. From Tyra Banks, to the girl working at the mall, I don't think it adds any type of naturalness to a weave.
And to be perfectly clear, Mrs. O (IMO) does not wear a weave. Good Housekeeping colored and lined up her hair line. As we all know, Mrs. O's hairline is not clean-lined and contains the normal pieces of short hair at the temples that many of us have.
Way too much airbrushing and touchups on this cover of Mrs. Obama. The photo appears very unnatural and staged.
Mrs. Obama is a beautiful, elegant woman who is very photogenic and doesn't need retouching anywhere. The comprised chain of approval for this cover at Good Housekeeping magazine should be reprimanded, every last one of them, then horse-whipped!
So pretty!
