Super Tuesday

Tuesday marks the official launch of the First Lady's campaign against childhood obesity, and it seems Mrs. O media appearances will abound.
Per Lynn Sweet of Daily Flotus:
Mrs. Obama's East Wing said she will be "joined by members of the president's cabinet, as well as media, sports, entertainment, and business leaders," plus mayors, member of the medical community and others at the White House event. On Tuesday evening, Mrs. Obama will sit down with CNN's Larry King for an interview about obesity and her first year as first lady. She will take questions from viewers.
Additionally, Mrs. O will appear on Good Morning America, a first peek of which we have here:
On a style note, the first lady is wearing an ivory double face wool sheath dress and jacket from Talbots for her interview with Robin Roberts. Mrs. O first wore the dress in November for a White House classical music event, seen here. Completing the ensemble is a pair of knee high boots in camel.
Update #1: Mrs. O's Super Tuesday is off and running! This morning the president signed a memorandum as part of Mrs. O's campaign to combat childhood obesity. The president and first lady were joined by Education Secretary Arne Duncan, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, and Interior Secretary Ken Salazar in the Oval Office of the White House.
For the signing, Mrs. O wore a teal dress with printed top, paired wtih a coordinating teal cardigan. A statement brooch by Erickson Beamon completed look. See photo above.
Update #2: The first lady has just unveiled a new website for her campaign against childhood obesity, Let's Move. In the email introducing the website, Mrs. O writes:
"The problem is clear. Over the past three decades, childhood obesity rates in this country have tripled. Today, obesity and excess weight threaten the health of one out of three American children. It’s time for us to act. That's why I’m asking you to be part of Let's Move! -- a nationwide effort to solve the obesity epidemic within one generation."
The site also includes this video from Mrs. O (wearing a J.Crew cardigan for the seated interview):

Also, love this: ".....what stings is unemployment, what stings is no healthcare...." I dont think I could love her anymore.
God Bless.
Mrs. O is just beautiful tonight in her wonderful black dress - I love it!
FLOTUS is on Larry King and she looks radiant! I love the fuchsia at the top of the black dress. It just brightens her face. I haven't seen this woman wear a color that did not suit her.
She's brilliant to boot. Smart, passionate, engaging. Love her!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Listening to (and watching) Michelle on Larry King, I DO love her even more! What a smart, well-spoken, caring, genuine, beautiful (in every sense) woman. I love our FLOTUS and POTUS and on days like this, I see so much that supports my faith in them. And can I just add -- Michelle looks amazing!
It was really hard watching the White House event while watching Mrs. O on Larry King. But I managed. Now that the White House event is over I can pay closer attention to what Mrs. O is saying. She looks great at both events. I am going to join everyone who likes her with the swept bangs on the side. She looks very young when she wears her hair that way.
Watching the King interview and this mornings interview... the MSM trying to make her go after Palin but the thing folks need to learn....
FLOTUS has more class in her fingertip than the other lady, more grace and more class. She exemplifies the grace of God and the whole notion of christianity that some other "folk" is trying to make other people bite on. Class all around class period. This is a strong female with brains and passion.
Class Class Class
FLOTUS was brilliant on Larry King. She's the quintessential diplomat. Such a lady.
Larry annoyed me with the questions about Palin and Teabaggers, but not to worry. Our First Lady was pitch perfect.
@ briana - I thought the same thing. First the question this morning on GMA and then Larry King asking her what she thinks about Palin. Larry went so far as to ask her how she feels about the tea party. The tea party that's calling her husband a socialist, questioning his place of birth, and having keynote speakers talking about bringing back literacy tests. How do you think she feels about those people?
We'll never know because she's not going to fall for that trick. She's class, brains, and looks personified. She has a goal and she's not letting anyone knock her off her stride.
What an amazing MO day. I screamed with delight when she answered Robin's changey/hopey or whatever question. What a profound and brilliant woman.
I'd also like to thank all those like Sharon Nelson and others who post links and information about MO. I am so busy sometimes that I appreciate your efforts. I also appreciate Mrs. T keeping this blog clean. I used to feel that I had to answer the disrespectful but then started ignoring them. What's the point, I suspect that they are disrespectful in their thought lives and I can't do anything about that.
Oh yes, she looked lovely today and tonight. I've seen that dress she wore on Larry King, was it in Vogue, I think so.
Mrs. T - I get a chance to stop by and read the comments once in a while, and it has been such a delight to find the site free of condescension, disrespect, and the like in recent weeks. This is the site that suits your class and style. Thank you for keeping it that way.
Mrs. O looks absolutely fantastic in the winter white with the sexy boots. Her hair and make-up are perfect. Love the whole look, and her smart, down-to-earth way of being. She also looks great in the teal.
Her "Let's Move" campaign is the best. I hope it is successful in protecting the health of so many kids growing up with too little movement and too much weight. Go, Michelle!
I love the hopey changey comment IVA!!
Please more about the teal. It is my favorite color and I so want that sweater. thanks
Like you IVA, the hopey/changey stuff is working out fantastically for me too. I love and adore my President and First Lady. They've been everything I expected and more and I've never been more hopeful in my life! This country is in good hands and by God's grace, all is well!!!
I think thats the dress she wore on the night she gave a speech at Democratic National Convention, the sweater adds a new twist
Ooh honey! Mrs. O, you are wearing me out with those knee high boots. Let me catch my breath.
I really like the dress and jacket from Talbots that FLOTUS chose for this interview. I saw the dress recently on one of the Doctors at the hospital, she accessorized it with a brooch over her lab coat. When I commented "very Michelle Obama" with a huge grin she said "BUT OF COURSE!" Those suede boots are white hot and gives much flair to an understated, expensive looking, yet affordable outfit. Well done.
When we elected President Obama into office, we got a bonus with such a dynamic First Lady. Yes, she is so much more than the clothes that she wears and it shows. Class act all the way!
The cardigan she's wearing in the sit down interview for the LETS MOVE initiative - is it the same one she wore in Miami sometime last October?
I just saw my DVR of GMA and I am searching for Mrs. O's boots...where oh where can I find them??? She can make anything she wears look chic.
