Holiday Gems

Official White House Photos by Chuck Kennedy and Pete Souza
The White House has released a new series of holiday photos on their Flickr page, which gives us a new look at some of the first lady's more recent ensembles. Would love to know more about the metallic number in the second image above. The photo was taken with an a cappella group in the Diplomatic Reception Room during a reception held December 10th. For a closer look, click here. Love the holiday glam!

Wow...these are fabulous, lovely and so festive. I would love to see a close-up view of the red dress. Can't wait to see the Christmas In Washington special tonight. Merry Christmas everyone.
That silver beaded number is off the chain!!! It is Fabulous!!!! I love Mrs O and I love this website.
Mrs. T thanks for including the close up of the metallic dress! Unusual... She and the President have done a great job with the fake singing :)
Lovely! Do you think the red dress in the third photo is the Michael Kors from last year http://mrs-o.org/newdata/2009/9/23/lady-in-red.html ? The Naeem Khan from the Kennedy Center program is still my favorite of Mrs. O's holiday looks.
That metallic number is hot! It looks figure hugging and really sexy on her. Hope we get to see more photos of that one. :)
That gray/silver metallic sheath is HOT....and look at sweet Mariah Carey in the first picture. Keep her in prayer (I think she's due in the spring). She wants this baby so badly!
Mrs. T, what about the multicolored print skirt with pink cardigan Mrs. O is wearing in the December 15 White House photo of the day? http://www.whitehouse.gov/photos-and-video/photogallery/december-2010-photo-day

The black vintage dress is stunning on her.
These are simply gorgeous. The first couple exhibit so much class & friendliness.

The red dress is so beautiful- she makes everything beautiful! I love seeing her in so many different looks- and it is so refreshing to see a First Lady with real class and know what she's wearing to her best effect. We must keep this incredible woman in this position- and her husband will do in a pinch, too!
First, i love the fashion sense of the 50s and 60s;then, Mrs.O wears the vintage dress with grace and looks very poise. Second, i love the the "Great Awakening" of the 50s and 60s fashion. I hope they are here to stay.
Listen folks, 99% of us come here to comment on Mrs.O's fashion, what we like or don't like. We all know that fashion is a matter of personal taste and choice and appeals to each of us on different levels. None of us is shy to say what we like or don't like and most of us can do it without belittling the first lady. However, there are those who show up only and only to make negative comments. We know who they are, I don't have to name them. Their comments are nasty and degrading, attacking her hair, the size of her head, her hips, her high waist, her smile, her teeth, her eyebrows, some want her to be like Kate Moss, how can she?! Some repeat the same criticisms over and over as if stick in a thought warp. Then those of us who don't like their comments go on the attack. It is difficult not to respond, in kind, but I find that it only gives credence and importance to their own lack of whatever it is that makes them comment the way they do. You see, the internet has given rise to a level of crudeness because of the perceived anonymity of being able to say what we feel without consequences. Read those offending posts again, they are written with the intent to stir up insurrection and anarchy and that is their purpose, simply to destroy this blog.
I think that those of us who have constructive criticism or praise should continue to do so and ignore these negativists. Mrs. T can moderate and decide who she wants to allow to comment. If something slips pass her we should let her know so that she can make the decision to delete it or not. There are certain names that as soon as I see them, I skip over because I am not interested in what they have to say. Let us keep this blog alive, it is too precious to allow it to deteriorate because of a few, for reasons known only to them or their handlers, will have their say and claim first amendment rights.
Love the pic of them from the back with the red outfit and red shoes; it feels so inclusive and festive. On the other hand, not a fan of the last pic of her and Prez O in front of the Christmas Tree. It might just be the angle from which they took the pic, because I know that outfit was smashing and she looked great in the other pic. It might also be because it is so "posed;" Mrs. O seems to look much better when she is not as aware of the camera, being her natural self.
Wow, I am just lovin that last dress! Beautiful.
