A Special Treat from Carina New York

Many of you will recall the gorgeous blush Byron Lars dress the first lady wore for Paul McCartney's White House performance in July. Though a similar dress was previously available, the full-skirted version worn by the first lady, the "Michelle" dress, is now available through Carina New York, HERE. Mrs. O readers will receive a special 20% discount by entering "MICHELLE" at check-out. Enjoy!

Is this the first instance of a designer specifically marketing something as worn by Michelle? I think so.
That's not quite right Mica. J.Crew prominently featured the crystal constellation cardigan in banner ads after the first lady wore the sweater in London during April 2009. I've seen pearls from Carolee labeled "the same as those worn by Michelle Obama." White House Black Market announced when they restocked the Donna Ricco dress the first lady wore on The View in 2008. Those are the first examples that come to mind, but I'm sure there are others. Also, it could be seen as "marketing" or perhaps a tribute to the first lady?
Anyway, I thought it was an enticing offer on a fabulous dress. And the discount is exclusive to Mrs. O readers. P.S. As has been the case with all posts of this nature, there is no compensation associated. The only revenue from the site comes from the banner ads to the right.
I was way off. Thanks for the correction. :-)
It is a very pretty dress. Thank you for bringing it to the attention of the Mrs O readers.
How cool!!! BTW Mrs.T did you notice Stella McCartney was talking to MrsO at the end of the song!!! I havent seen MrsO in any of Chloe/Stella McCartney outfits....hope she does :D
For those of you who know how to sew, you can create a very similar look by using Butterick Retro pattern #6583, seen here: http://butterick.mccall.com/b6582-products-1037.php?page_id=371. The Byron Lars dress appears to have a twisted neckline, while the Butterick pattern has a crossed neckline, but the overall look and silhouette are very similar.
I was very proud of our First Lady on this trip. She was respectful to the cultures of her hosts and genuinely interested in the people of those countries. Mrs. O. is good for America!
And so is her husband!!!
@ Nyon, without a doubt!!!
Byron Lars is such a talented designer. I love this dress and I wish I could afford it.
