Cool Blue

President Mr. O and First Lady Mrs. O attended the Evening Parade at the Washington Marine Barracks on Friday night in Washington, D.C. The parade was first held in 1957 and takes place every Friday evening from May through August. We love Mrs. O's cool combination of turquoise and lavender.
Update: Mrs. O wears a custom teal linen and silk double bow sheath dress by Jason Wu.

WOW, Once again MrsO stands out. I love it, and keep it up.
Oh wow, its almost too much. The hot blue is gorgeous. The black and white tremendous.
I think the black and white with the red at the waist is a dress. The bodice is so smooth down her side, and if it were a separate piece I don't think it would stay in place as well. She looks amazing - perfect hair for those earrings. At first I thought she was wearing one giant bangle, but it may be her signature sparkly bangles. Wonderful look.
The blue dress this afternoon is also great. Those three pins at the neckline reminded me of something she did during the campaign - I want to say it was for a town hall meeting with McCain. Whatever - she looks great.
And she looks like she knows it. Good for her!
Tonight's outfit is gorgeous and she looks fresh. I got a kick out of the red band at her waist which matches the President's tie. So in sync those two are!
Janelle, thanks a bunch for the video of Mrs. O in Virginia. She looks so good in that form fitting sheath. I do think it is the same as the pink Kors from the correspondent's dinner.
Janelle, you need to stop cluing in everyone to Mrs-O's latest...You're doing Mrs. T's job for her....lulz. *whispers*: Thanks for the tip...that blue dress with the roses was smashing...the woman has just been ravishing lately.
Love this look!! she looks cute. See what a low waist can do for her!!! She should ditch her high waist clothes!!!!!!!!! I love the color too.
Thank God for the cardigan, it has lowered the waist and look how stunningly beautiful she looks. IMHO, the best cut for Mrs. O's body shape is low waist, no pleats.
Simply stunning. I would never think to put these 2 colours together. She looks radiant and kept everything else so simple it works perfectly well.
Whoever said that royals are copying Mrs O might like to think again. Both parties have been doing cardigans for years. In fact, I think everyone's been doing cardigans for years. It's time to stop attributing trends to one person or another, or attributing "copying a look" to one person or another. Cardigans are fantastic, they've been in fashion for donkey's years, designers rework them every season, everyone can wear one, everyone can afford one. It's not rocket science.
(MsG, I know, I just wanted to reprise my rant on O-chat!)
I love this outfit. I like how she buttoned the cardigan around the bow. It brings a little drama to the entire ensemble.
I love how she is not afraid to take risk with her choices. Women in their 40s and 50s are going to bring sexy back into their lives because of our First Lady. Whether you agree with a particular outfit, admit it, you've started making bolder and more funkier choices in your clothing because of FLOTUS haven't you?
Im 30, and I know I have. Her style has certainly opened my eyes to new fashion possibilities.
Cute combo. And once you get the cardi habit, it's hard to break.
Ms. O looks like she is giving birth to a bow. Love the color combination: however, the sweater buttoned directly under the big bow does not work.
Michelle, Michelle, Michelle. Girl, what's up with the too-tight cardigan? The big bow on the dress (which is in a cute color)? Why is the bow cut off by the cardigan? Given the bow, I'm surprised it's not a Moschino outfit. However, it's Jason Wu, another designer that is not the best on Mrs. Obama.
I'm amazed at her eye for color combos-I would never imagine that pairing certain hues would work well !. But then Mrs. O does it! Her style has given me much inspiration and license to be creative with my own sartorial color palette. It makes life a hell of a lot prettier-and exciting!
This looks like the double bow sheath - shown in Wu's Resort 2009 collection in beige.

She looks so young here.
Pretty dress, nice look. Mrs. O. has great legs but I do prefer her skirts a little longer -- just at the top of the knee. She has such long legs that they make the skirt look shorter than it really is.
They look so happy and I love the colors!!! I hope they will continue to enjoy life as they seem to at this moment. Michelle has a special glow
in this picture. I am so happy for them..
Mrs. O has such great style!
I love the color choice which is unusual but very pretty. The little cardigans are really Mrs. O's own and very special fashion style, some of them are pretty this one looks a bit cheap to me. The dress is too short, I believe that a dress which covers knees is much more elegant and would be much more classier - especially for a First Lady! It is so refreshing to see a loving caring couple in the White House. After all these years............what a blessing!
