The Obamas will host a reception for Congressional members and their spouses at the White House this evening. The event begins at 7:30PM.

I remember that outfit from the DNC events last August. She wore with a beautiful gold jacket/cardigan I think. If she wore it tonight, I LOVE that she recycles, because the material looks soft and very comfortable to only wear once.
I like that outfit. Love the soft color and the jewelry too.
There haven't been any photos released from the majority of the Wednesday evening cocktail get-togethers over the past few months - so I am not surprised that tonight isn't any different.
I do wish we would have been able to see the outfit Michelle wore to the theater the evening of the tree planting event.

Yes that's an older photo from the dinner in London. The White House photographer is at all the functions, but it's left up to the WH which photos get released to the public and when. Like the one photo released of Michelle and Queen Rania--I'm sure there were more photos. Maybe we'll see a gallery of photos later on. I'm sure there's still more clothes we haven't seen yet on Michelle.

The First Lady Michelle Obama has been a fashion Icon for years. When our new President Barack Obama was a Chicago senator Michelle Obama was a one women fashion show. Senator Obama and Michelle Obama wer on the cover of the February 2005 Ebony Magazine as one of the 10 Hottest Couples. Did she wear a sleeveless dress? Yes. She is Beautiful!

Michelle Obama is a nice, intelligent, educated lady who is a good wife and mother but she is NOT a "fashion icon". The press is pushing this silly "fashion icon" agenda which is not only ridiculous when talking about this gangly looking woman who has terrible posture (she slouches) and an awful underbite, but the push to compare her with Jackie Kennedy are so contrived - Jackie was to the manor born and exuded elegance. Michelle is a nice example of a first lady but please don't seriously consider her "another Jackie" as far as "icon-hood", it's nonsense.
