Secrets of Mrs. O's Style

Excerpt used with kind permission from More Magazine O isn't the only magazine that scored a high profile interview this month. The April issue of More magazine will include a feature on Mrs. O's longtime Chicago-based designer Maria Pinto. More has been kind enough to share a sneak peek, above. From the issue:
"I started working with Michelle when Barack was running for the Senate," Pinto says. "She was referred to me by another client."
Pinto says Obama "is very down to earth" and also "knows what works." She’s a perfect fashion role model, Pinto says, because "She’s an example of the life we’re all living. She goes high-low, mixing J.Crew with designer. I think we can all relate to that."
The April issue of More hits newsstands March 24.

I love the fact that Mrs. O, 45 years old, has become the fashion/role model to watch for women of all ages as well as that of the fashion industry itself. Growing older has never been more appealing...what a great thing for ALL WOMEN.
I completely agree. I'm 20 years old and Michelle is one of my greatest inspirations.
I still think that the red dress (without a belt....) Mrs. O used for their first WH visit with President and Mrs. Bush really shows her great and toned body and elongates her whole torso. I prefer these no-belt dresses on her.
I'm so glad Michelle continues to wear what she wants, belts or no belts, colors or no colors, sleeves or not, suits or sheath dresses.
This is the President and First Lady heading for their one-day trip to Camp David.

Mrs. Obama needs even more Maria Pinto and less Jason Wu in her wardrobe (although I did like the magenta Wu dress on the VOGUE cover, the only Wu outfit she has worn that I've liked). Your hometown girl clothes you well, First Lady!
Wow - three photos of three of my Mrs O looks.
Thanks.
Thanks Mrs. T...Love the site!
I think Maria Pinto is Mrs. O's best ally. I wouldn't want her to only wear Pinto, but it's a guaranteed home run: flattering, classic, and the perfect foil to fantastic accessories.
I too agree that she looks best in no-belted dresses.
