'Tis the Season

Photos by Heather Clawson for Habitually Chic

...of Bergdorf Goodman window displays, of course! The holiday windows - this year inspired by Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass - are thoroughly impressive. We particularly enjoyed the timely tribute to Mrs. O's designer du jour, Naeem Khan, seen above. The featured, floor length ivory gown shimmers with rich embellishment and pops against the lush green background. Certainly worth a swing by 57th St. and 5th Ave. if you're in the area!

Fans of Mrs. O's State Dinner gown may also enjoy W magazine's interview, "Five minutes with Naeem Khan", here.

Thanks Mrs.T, this was really fascinating and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The wonderful world of window dressing has always intrigued me for as long as I can remember. When I was a little girl I would love my trips to Downtown Detroit to see the displays in our department stores. Back then we had Crowleys, Himelhoch's, B. Siegels, Hughes,Hatcher & Suffren as well as J.L. Hudsons (that went on to become Dayton/Hudson, then, Marshall Field's, and now it's Macys'). Those mammoth stores are long gone but those fond memories remain.
