Mrs. O at the World Series

First Lady Mrs. O and Dr. B are attending Game One of the World Series this evening, walking Yankees legend and Hall of Famer Yogi Berra onto the field at Yankee Stadium.
Both women were festively dressed in World Series sweatshirts. First Lady Mrs. O paired hers with black skinny jeans and a black leather sneakers, while Dr. B opted for slim trousers and heels.

I LOVE my girl, but I do not like the shoes she is wearing tonight. However, her and Jilly both look BEAUTIFUL, and I like their jackets.

I know its your opinion, but I think it was better than wearing shoes in the grass like Jill did...lol...I mean seriously, its a game...not a policy making event...but aside from that, Jill looks nice.
I'm not talking about wearing heals!!! I just don't like the syle of the gym shoe, it looks like the shoes are not laced gym shoes, that is what I don't like about the shoes. The shoes appear to be strapped gym shoes. Also, no where in my post did I say change to a heal!!!
I think that both FLOTUS and SLOTUS enjoyed themselves, it sure looks like it. They looked nice and I'm sure everyone at the ballpark appreciated them being there. And can I say, Mrs.T, you have been on fire today!!! We appreciate you. Get some rest! Love ya'

No where in my post did I say that you said to "change the shoes to heals"...so before you throw fists, get your facts straight. I responded by telling you that it was better than wearing shoes! I NEVER disagreed with you...I don’t like the shoes either...I was just going on about my personal opinion (the rest of the sentence was not directed to you. I was just typing out loud). So hold on to your ‘undies’ and calm down!

Dr. Biden is a girly-girl. That won't change. I must say, I identify more with Mrs. Obama. She lookks great, and she's appropriate for the occasion.

I can't think of anything else more appropriate to wear to a ball game so in my opinion both ladies look lovely.

The First Lady and Dr. Biden both look lovely. How cool is it for the two top Ladies to be away at such events without their husbands. She always seems to be catching fire for her choice of sports shoes.They are either too expensive, too flashy, too colorful, and now they don't have laces! LOL Thank God for smart women who acknowledge they will never be able to please everyone, hence dress to please themselves!!

Mrs.T, You have been very busy so if you take a bit of a rest now, we will understand. I was at home for most of the day, so I checked my computer frequently and boy was I delighted on each occasion. The hottttt red dress, the vintage collections, the VA visit and now the game. So exciting and as usual I loved all of Mrs. O's outfits. That lady is soooo classy and beautiful. Hip, Hip Hip Hooray!!!!

I've not had a chance to post recently and so much has been added to the site. These are 2 confident women, accomplished in their own right, each very different from the other and yet able to enjoy each other's company. Their interaction is not contrived. Dr. Biden is a long time, accomplished political wife who has been able to maintain interest in the world around her, an incredible feat. I think that Mrs. O draws strength from that and is not afraid to share the spotlight with her. Ever notice the warmth with which they greet each other at events; that we women would learn to have female relationships like that.
I see 2 women striving for normalcy and having fun at a ball game on a cold rainy evening, heels, sneakers and all. They look wonderful!
eve and mia - I don't think that either of you were being antagonistic so it's worth remembering that you can't see the person's face and you can't hear the tone of voice on here!! I think you were both just commenting, and that's very cool.
For myself, I don't like sports shoes simply because they aren't PRETTY!! LOL. So I'd've been pulling a Dr Biden myself. (Plus I look better in heels so ....) But Michelle looks cool in these trainers - they're black, at least, which is better than white running shoes.
(I'm sorry, I just can't bring myself to say the American s-word for sports shoes. I can't.)

My first thought was "I WANT those sneakers". But when somebody said they have straps,
not laces, then NOT.
Actually Posh, the word "sneakers" is a step up for many of us; we used to call them "tennies"

I just love how Michelle Obama, always dresses so appropriately and she looks so happy and like she is enjoying herself. Jill Biden also looks great, she's just a little bit more conservative, that's all. And those shoes were the 1st thing that I noticed and I do not like them either...LOL!:-)
Does anyone know what those bands are above the ankle on Mrs. O's jeans? Or are the jeans a bit too long and just stacking above her shoes? Hard to imagine that she could find pants that would be too long. :)
