Glamour is honoring First Lady Mrs. O with a Special Recognition Award for her commitment to mentoring young women in the magazine's Women of the Year issue. Read more, including a full Q&A with Mrs. O, here.
Now, who made that fabulous dress and necklace?! Update: We may not find out. We hope this isn't the case. From the AP:
"On the Glamour cover she's in her own drop-waist, red cocktail dress with a modified ballskirt and a chunky, bow-inspired necklace. The outfit was from her own closet, and no designer will be credited in the magazine."
The designers responsible for these creations - both the necklace and dress - should get credit. They are gorgeous!
Update: Mrs. O wears a Jason Wu dress and a FENTON by Dana Lorenz necklace.

Breathtaking! I love it when she wears an updo. The color plays off against her bronze skin tone, magnificently, the dress is well fitted and shows that she has returned to her pre "visit to Moscow/Paris/London/Rome/Ghana trip" size. All that gelato and French croissants had taken their toll. Perhaps she is preparing for the holidays. Smart woman. Not quite feeling the necklace, is that 2 bows? Mmm, you know the more I look at it I kinda like it.
Has anyone noticed how she crosses her hands and feet in the same way.
The dress & necklace are Jason Wu. They are from MO's personal wardrobe. She styled herself for the shoot. Not THAT takes guts! She is flawless.
