The Tour Continues

First Lady Mrs. O has resumed her tour of federal agencies, speaking this morning at the Department of Veteran Affairs. We wonder what the current count is for federal agencies visited by Mrs. O? Please help us tally and we'll update the post.
We are holding out for better photos from the event to surface, but from an initial peek, we believe that may be J.Crew's Deco shirred skirt we see. More to follow.
Update: Hmm, how odd, very few photos from today. The Veterans Affairs website has posted a thumbnail photo that at least gives us another look, here.

I JUST SAW HER PICES SHE IS WEARRING A NICE SWEARTER AND OF COUSE HER BELT IS BLACL AND WHITE I DIDNT SEE HER BOTTOM I DO BEAVE SHE WAS WEARRING A SKIRT I COULDNT SEE HER SKIRT BECOUSE SHE WAS BEHIND A STAND TALKING AM SURE IS WAS A NICE BKACK SKIRT. AM GOING TO OTHER SITE TO SEE THE WHOLE THING.
It does look like the Deco Skirt. I bought that several weeks ago, but had it lengthened because it is rather short (unless you buy a size bigger and let it sit lower on your hips).
She's tall, so I'm interested in how it looks lengthwise on her.
That's a beeeeeeautiful skirt. I'm such a sucker for black and white anyway but that's gorgeous. So easy to look chic and smart. Great look!
This is a great outfit. You can never go wrong with black and white. It's wonderful to see that the cardigan is buttoned up behind the belt. J. Crew really styled this beautiful skirt in a very odd way on their website.
The event was just aired on C-Span. Overall image is very, very good. Belt is perhaps a bit smaller than some and very shiny. Although wearing pearls, she was wearing diamond stud earrings (I think they have a casing). She wears them so often I wonder if they might not have a sentimental value.
I think she may have been wearing her hair like this for awhile, but I've never seen it close up enough to see what's going on. Strands of hair are separated at the ends so they hang and move separately just above her shoulders. Kind of a feathery affect. Is there a name for that?
Her speech was very good, but during the campaign she conducted many events around this subject so it may be a more natural topic for her.
When Sec. Shineski introduced her he said that it had been rumored at the agency that she was coming a few months ago but the president showed up instead, " I know many of you were disappointed because you told me so." In her speech she said, "I wanted to be here earlier and I would have been, but I was bumped by my husband. Happens to me all the time."
All I gotta say is: The belt is back :) Loving the B&W!
She also mentioned that she had just spoken to a very enthusiastic overflow crowd.
Would like to see a full view of the skirt but like what I can see so far. I love tailored white shirts especially paired with black. One of my favorite Mrs O postings was the June 16 video with Michelle Obama's acceptance remarks for the Council of Fashion Designers of America special tribute award which showed only her white button down shirt and her pearls. Classic and great looking.
Not to change the subject but Huffinton Post has slideshow showing some MO repeats
"Twice As Nice"
Based on that little photo - she HAD to have had that skirt lengthened from the way they sell it in the stores. Its was short on me - and I'm short to begin with.
I love this style of day look on Mrs. O.
The federal agency visits are such a special initiative & really appreciated by the agency employees. I don't know why the White House doesn't publicize the events better. Only we fanatics ever see anything about them!
There are some pictures on HuffPost:

Just spotted this on the Reuters website, of Mrs. O running barefoot at the WH Healthy Kids Fair: http://www.daylife.com/photo/03dXe6S3Jv0x7 . Her arms are so inspiring!
Pics of Mrs. O at the healthfair she had today on yahoo and getty. There are lots of them, but this is one of her jumping double dutch.

No time to read the thread so this may have been mentioned. As shown at J.Crew, the Deco skirt is a mini, 18" long.
Hers must be a custom item as I do not know of a J.Crew skirt that has enough hem allowance to lengthen this mini to the correct length for someone who is nearly 6' tall.
Interesting fabric!

I own the skirt, but sized UP so that it sits lower on my waist and comes to just above my knees. IMHO, it's a very pretty skirt.
I'm a classic black and white emsemble kinda person and so I absolutely love that outfit. Way to go, Michelle.
I would definitely need that skirt to sit on my knee so that I can dress it up for work or dress it down in the summer. I'm a tall 5"8 with more legs than a spider. I cannot wear short skirts in a professional setting but I absolutely love that skirt on Michelle. I just hate the fact that we don't have a J Crew in England and the shipping costs from the US is not cheap. Oh well !!
@ Michelle
Puhleeze......Do you think that the grounds are not cleaned regularly ?and Don't you think that Bo's poop is not picked upafter he does his #2?
AND what if she puts her feet in poop. I am sure that she will laugh it off, being the humble, fun person that she is. She will not be as grossed out as you.
AND please take off your "Caps Lock"
