Lovelier Than Ever

Mrs. O is visiting St. Dmitriy Nursing College of Sisters of Mercy in Moscow today. The first lady is re-wearing a Jason Wu frock, first seen last November during an interview with Barbara Walters. As many will recall, the interview was the first time Mrs. O wore a dress by the young designer.

We have always loved this dress for its trick of the eye. What might appear to be a print is in fact thousands of embroidered french knots, representative of Jason Wu's fine craftsmanship. The bright blues of Mrs. O's Matryoshka doll - a gift from her hosts - pop against the graphic black and white of her dress.

A Statement Necklace

President Mr. O and First Lady Mrs. O met with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and his wife Svetlana outside of Moscow yesterday. Mrs. O wore a white twin set paired with black trousers. The understated ensemble was punctuated by a statement necklace -- a Fenton by Dana Lorenz necklace, made of crystal, silver and glass with vintage coin detail. The necklace is available at Ikram in Chicago.

Pretty in Peach

The Os have deplaned in Moscow and Mrs. O is wearing a lovely peach ensemble, reminiscent of her white ensemble worn on D-day, and belt at the waist with a Sonia Rykiel belt. More to follow.

Update #1: Mrs. O wears a Narciso Rodriguez dress, paired with a Michael Kors collarless coat, both in a peachy coral hue. The first lady wore a similar combination from the same designers in white when she visted France last month.

Update #2: The little Os both wear J.Crew -- Malia wears a silk taffeta trench and satin ballet flats by J.Crew, while Sasha wears a twill trench and flats by crewcuts.

The Os are off to Moscow! Mrs. O wears a floral Talbots dress, last seen for her May 2009 cover of Essence, paired with a yellow Dear Cashmere cardigan and clear Sonia Rykiel belt. What a lovely looking family!

Happy Fourth of July!

The Os celebrated Independence Day with an event to honor military heroes and their families at the White House. First Lady Mrs. O wore a streamlined black and white dress, with an empire waist and cocoon skirt, which coordinated with her daughters white sundresses.
