Can You Say Gorgeous!

The First Lady hosted a poetry workshop for students at the White House today, wearing one stunner of an embellished, embroidered pencil skirt. I believe we may have seen a glimpse of this once before, but not yet had a chance to admire it in its full glory. A stack of bracelets and turquoise earrings complete this fabulous look. 

Update: Indeed, as several suggested, the skirt is by Naeem Khan, from the designer's Spring 2009 collection. The tank is also Naeem Khan, in dusty rose cashmere.

Not sure what happened to my post (it's been a looooong time since I've commented) but will try again...
I really LOVE this look! The skirt is absolutely beautiful and I think the tank is of a quality (fabric) befitting of the skirt -- perfect color too. And the bangles are fabulous. GORGEOUS is my vote! :-)

I'm mystified by the comments on how the top is "too casual" for the skirt. There is a difference between simple and casual. That top is not casual, it is deceptively simple. look at how it fits around the neckline and sleeveline. It's perfect.

You look at any beautifully dressed woman wearing one very richly detailed item, and she will keep the other item very lean. Danish designer Julie Fagerholt makes this lovely skirt (http://www.trendsales.dk/listings/heartmade-julie-fagerholt-soeges-soeges-soeges-nederdel-soeges/18049881?&road=sort_gallery&search=&sort=ID DESC&status=1&pn=25&rt=cd) which is all gold sequins, and her style recommendation for what to wear with it is a white singlet and nude heels or flats.

Mrs O's choice is perfect here.
