A Vision in Blue

Photo by Yuri Gripas / Reuters Pictures

The Obamas are hosting the Kennedy Center Honors reception at the White House this evening. The First Lady is truly a vision in blue. Stunning!

Update: Mrs. O wore a custom Vera Wang strapless cobalt tulle gown with accentuating bias drape and tiered skirt with feathered organza accents. For jewelry, Mrs. O wore earrings by Miguel Ases.

Absolutely beautiful. I can hardly wait for the next beautiful formally dressed Mrs. "O". Thanks for being you, and thanks for bringing back the flat shoes. It has helped many tall women, women with medical conditions and women who may have a hard time affording heels.

Just ABSOLUTELY stunning! What a lovely, elegant, caring, loving and beautiful First Lady. God bless Mrs. Obama, God bless our President, God bless the First Family and God bless America. This one is "out-of-the-park". Thank Mrs. T for all of your diligent work.

Another advantage to the flats, when they are together, is that she does not tower above her husband as she does in the good-looking high heels.

Wow! I haven't commented in quite sometime but this dress compelled me to come out of lurking. This dress is just stunning on her, the fit is wonderful. I love the fact that she's hiding flats under the dress. Style and comfort! Honestly this very well may be my favorite look over the past three years, at least when it comes to formal attire.

What a vision! I formelry thought of the Indian Prime Minister's State Dinner dress as my all-time favorite. It's now #2. I actually gasped when I saw the Vera Wang gown. Our beautiful First Lady proves what I have long thought: SHE LOOKS STUNNING IN FORMAL WEAR AND BEAUTIFUL IN EVERYDAY WEAR. She could make a burlap sack look great! Long may she be our model of elelgance, beauty, and accomplishment. Every one of us should work as hard as we can to keep this fabulous couple in the White House for 4 more glorious years!!

I think she's simply stunning and electrifying in that blue, and her accents are simple and elegant. It takes a true woman to really undestand the ability to accessorize.

This is a beautiful look. The earrings are the perfect touch. I must admit this Vera Wang dress is beautiful. The fit is perfect. I wonder if it was adjusted. I think so because it fits in all the right places. It is superbly worn. Kudos Mrs. O.

I don't think I've ever seen our President's chest stuck out further. He has good reason to feel very proud and show it in his swagger. Michelle looks like a goddess.

This look is hotter than hot!!!! It's hellified and hellacious!!!! This has to be the #1 look that our lovely Mrs. O has worn, and the President looks dapper too.

This takes my breath away. She is simply beautiful.

FYI: In many mainline protestant faiths, this liturgical season prior to Christmas is called Advent. It is the time of awaiting the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Blue happens to be the color for the Advent season.

Peace.

Love everything about this gown from the fit to the color to the way it flows at the bottom.

And this looks like it was tailored to fit MO's body and her body alone unlike some of her other designs she has worn.

Love the hair too.

This style looks similiar to many wedding gown designs out there today.

Home run for Mrs. O & Vera Wang!

I'm in LOVE!!! I think this is my favorite! And I love all her gowns just about, but this one takes the cake! Kudos to Vera.

TEN!
