Red Hot

Photo by Jim Young / Reuters
Later in the afternoon, the President and First Lady Mrs. O hosted the Medal of Freedom award ceremony at the White House. Gay rights leader Harvey Milk and tennis legend Billie Jean King were both honored.
For the event, Mrs. O wore a fitted red sheath dress with coordinating red belt. A stack of diamond bangles and black patent leather kitten heels completed the look.
We've had a glimpse of this dress once before, when Mrs. O was leaving Moscow, seen here.

IMHO muscular arms and sleeveless cut so far inward make women look like body builders.....sorry if this offends anyone, its just the way I feel.
Suji, I think the whole aesthetic has changed....the younger women I know all want "cut" arms and work out to get them.
The days of "soft" equalling "feminine" are over. Nothing wrong with "looking like a body builder," as you put it. Women who are strong and in shape want to show it off, and I think it's great.
Thank goodness we have a role model for women's health in the White House now! Middle-aged does not have to mean middle-aged spread.

Wow wow WOW!!!
Did we ever find out who made this dress. It "feels" like some of the Kors dresses that we've seen. Which reminds me -- Project Runway back this week, WOO HOO!
Are those the same diamond bangles she wore with her gown to the Inaugural Balls? They are divine!
InfoDiva,
The aesthetic I am talking about is the difference between Beyonce's style and Serena Williams style. . The Williams sisters look bizarre most of the time with no sense of style or what suits them best. Mrs. O seems to be falling into that trap every now and then.
I am beginning to think that Mrs. O's sense of style is over rated. There are just too many misses. That said, I think she has great personality, intelligence and sense of family and we are lucky to have her at the white house.
I REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHO THIS DRESS IS BY! I LOVE IT.
