Mrs. O in Ann Taylor

Amidst the DNC festivities last evening, the first lady was interviewed by several of the major news networks. For the appearances, Mrs. O wore an Ann Taylor wool dress in a vibrant blue adorned with an Alexis Bittar elongated marquis pin. A similar version of the dress, in black, is available on AnnTaylor.com, here. Lovely!

A Grand Finale

The first lady is in the audience for the final night of the Democratic National Convention, with the president due to speak later this evening. For the occasion, Mrs. O is wearing a full-skirt, bateau neckline dress in a perfect-for-fall eggplant hue print. An Alexis Bittar lucite dogwood pin at the neckline completes the look.

Update: Mrs. O wears a dress by designer Laura Smalls. The first lady wore a dress by Smalls earlier in the week, seen here. What a wonderful moment for the rising designer! Smalls says, "I could not believe my eyes that Michelle Obama wore our dress to this historic event. Words cannot describe how my team and I feel."

Daytime DNC

The First Lady is having a busy third day of the Democratic National Convention, speaking to the Women's Caucus with Dr. Jill Biden and volunteering for a USO service project.

On the style front: For the women's Caucus, Mrs. O wore a floral (ranunculus perhaps?) print dress paired with a cutout Alexander McQueen belt from the designers Fall 2006 collection, seen here. For her USO service project, Mrs. O repeated a solid white and blue stripe tie back top, previously worn in April 2011, seen here, paired with light blue pants for this occasion.

Ladylike Lace

The First Lady is viewing the DNC speeches from her FLOTUS box this evening joined by friends and family including Craig Robinson, Maya Soetoro-Ng, Mayor Julian Castro, Honorable Kathleen Sebelius, Mayor Rahm Emmanuel, Bill Daley, Alfre Woodard, David Axelrod and others.

For the evening, which features a speech by former President Bill Clinton, Mrs. O is wearing a grey short sleeve dress with black lace overlay. Lovely!

Update: Mrs. O wore a custom Thom Browne dress, confirmed by the designer via Twitter (and many of you!). Browne was the 2012 winner of the National Design Award for Fashion Design, honored by the First Lady at the White House award ceremony. A few weeks prior, Mrs.O wore a stripe top from Brooks Brothers Black Fleece, a label that Browne also designs.

Michelle Obama speaks to the African American Caucus

Top photo by Donna Bise / Dem Convention

The First Lady has another full day at the Democratic National Convention, attending the African American Caucus and Hispanic Caucus meetings, as well as a luncheon for the Human Rights Campaign and Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund. For the appearances, Mrs. O wore a watercolor floral blue sheath dress gathered at the right shoulder seam. Gorgeous!

Update: The "soft turquoise watercolored print" sheath dress is the work of designer Laura Smalls. Mrs. O added Laura Smalls to her style repertoire in May 2011, seen here
